Shazam’s greatest villain is back to tear his family apart
Mister Mind has owned many DC heroes
Mr. Mind was first published in the 1943s Captain Marvel Adventures #26 By Otto Binder, Al Liederman, CC Beck and Pete Costanza As one of the earliest (and strangest) supervillains in comic book history. Through timeline changes, he went from a mutant worm to the sole survivor of his species on Venus. Currently, he is An incredibly powerful telepath with innate knowledge of the mystical arts Born from his consumption of curios and tomes as a sort of literal bookworm. But the main purpose of the parasite is possession of the captain – so that he can have a body as suitable as his mind is.

As more pieces of the traditional Shazam family learn to return to continuity, Mister Mind is once again trying to take possession of the various champions of Shazam, this time by worming his way into the mind of Freddy Freeman. This is his main goal, as he was once seen inhabiting the robotic body of Buster Gold’s companion Skates, turning him evil into the celebrated 52 Series by Mark Waid, Grant Morrison, Geoff Johns, Greg Rucka and various artists. Mr. Mind seems to pop up everywhere and when he’s least expected – Even in Shazam movies.
Mr. Mind’s return satisfies a loose plot thread
Mister Mind appears in the post-credits scene of Shazam!
After Dr Sivana’s defeat in the 2019 film Shazam!A post-credits scene reveals Mister Mind to be the next main villain of Zachary Levi’s Shazam. However, this never quite panned out, like the sequel, Shazam! Wrath of God, has a completely different plot in mind As the DCEU began to crumble behind the scenes. Shazam fans will now have to content themselves with Mr. Mind’s brutal return in the comic where he first debuted.
Although not the only homage to the successful film of the same name, the ongoing Shazam! Series continues to thrill comic fans by honoring several loose plot threads left in the films. This time, however, Mister Mind is arriving in a much stricter way, and he may just complete his long-term goal of fracturing the Shazam family. If anything, at least this one look from Mr. Mind is paying off the tease that the Shazam! Film left fans five years ago.
