Stardew Valley player uses a totem to get home and immediately regrets his decision

One Valley of the Stars The player realized that sometimes taking the quickest route home can have dire consequences, as he ended up trapped on his own farm. Totems are intended to make traveling to specific locations in the game much quicker, but what happens when a player forgets to clear a path and has no tools? This fan found out the hard way that there is only one way out of this exact scenario.

In a recent Reddit post, strange goddess discusses how the quickest option for getting home became her worst nightmare. After placing the ax in a chest before embarking on the day’s journey, they used a beach totem to return to the farm, only to realize that they had never cleared the path in front of the totem’s location.

Although using a totem to get home is rarely a problem, the clumsy girl left her ax behind, meaning they were unable to clear the farm’s turnaround point, which had a piece of wood blocking their path home. Since there was no way to remove the debris from the path, this meant there was only one option; pass out and hope they don’t lose any of their items after the fact.

Of course, they would also have to pay some fees since they passed out in the middle of their property and needed to be rescued, but luckily passing on the farm is a little different from dying in combat. Commenters on the post share similar experiences and tell others that it will be okay if they make the same mistake as fainting is the best option in this scenario.

The creator of Valley of the Stars, ConcernedApe has really thought of everything when it comes to the consequences of players’ actions in the title. As a commenter on the thread, known as Alradaspointed out, the consequences of passing out from exhaustion could have been much worse. They claim, “So the start of the year penalty is so low… Who cares about 1k. I just spent 500k on bombs to invade the desert cave, I wouldn’t have even noticed there was 1k left if it weren’t for the sound and animation, haha. ”

While being stuck on your farm is never fun or ideal, it’s not the end of the world. I’ve ended up getting stuck in some sticky situations myself over the years from different rescues and farms, and passing out early doesn’t really cause much trouble. Some players even decide to pass out at 2am on purpose to make the most of their first few days of farming. Next time, though, we’re willing to bet that special Star OK the player will not leave their tools in a chest, just in case.
