The Bad Sisters cast was together when they found out the second season was greenlit
“When we got the news, we were doing press for the first season, so we were all together, which is really lovely. We could celebrate.”
Screen Rant: How does it feel to know how much people around the world love this series?
Sarah Greene: So lovely. We are very proud of that. You know? We loved, loved, loved, doing this. And so for it to resonate so well and connect with audiences around the world, I think it was – it’s so lovely to do something that you love and put it out into the world and have other people love it too.
Eva Birthistle: Having them love it as much as we do is really special.
Sarah Greene: It really is. And so, back to season two, where we are thrilled.
Eva Birthistle: Excited.
Screen Rant: It looks like things wrap up at the end of Season 1, so I was thrilled to see Bad Sisters being picked up for Season 2.
Eva Birthistle: It was a good day.
Sarah Greene: It was a great day. Relief, I guess.
Eva Birthistle: Yes, because we were really hoping for it and we had to wait a year before we knew it was going to happen, and there was no guarantee. So when we got the news, we were doing press for the first season, so we were all together, which is really lovely. So we could, we could celebrate.
Sarah Greene: Yes, that was lovely.
Eva Birthistle and Sarah Greene Praise the Show’s Casting Department for Getting It Right
“The bond was instant, really. It happened so easily and naturally. I think they cast the show really well.”
Screen Rant: Did you form a sisterly bond in real life?
Sarah Greene: Oh, it’s definitely changed.
Eva Birthistle: The bond was kind of instantaneous, actually. It happened so easily and naturally. I think they cast the show really well. They just got the dynamic right and it didn’t work. The conversation started very easily, the rapport and genuine enjoyment of each other’s company was present from the beginning, and then it just grew and we got to know each other more.
Sarah Greene: And continuing the friendship after we broke up. We were in contact all the time and hanging out all the time. So, getting that call that you’re going back to work with your best friends is really great.
JP is haunting them from the grave in Bad Sisters Season 2
“They’re at her bachelorette party, then at her wedding, and then a suitcase is pulled from a lake at the back of Minna’s house, and it contains the remains, the chopped-up body, of George, JP’s father. ”
Screen Rant: What You Can Tease Bad Sisters 2nd season?
Eva Birthistle: Two years have passed since the first season. JP is dead. Everyone is dealing with their own ways of moving forward.
Sarah Greene: Some better than others.
Eva Birthistle: It turns out that Ursula isn’t handling the situation very well. Grace has moved on with a lovely man. Very, very happy.
Sarah Greene: They’re super happy. We can see the girls really enjoying life. They’re at her bachelorette party, then at her wedding, and then a suitcase is pulled from a lake at the back of Minna’s house, and it contains the remains, the severed body, of George, JP’s father, and so from the grave he haunts them and that sets the wheels in motion.
Eva Birthistle: The spotlight is back on them.
Sarah Greene: The case is reopened and suddenly they are scared. They get super scared and feel like they have been hunted.
