Slick Starfield Mod gives players the Cyberpunk car of their dreams

The REV-8 was a transformational addition to the Star Field but a creative player managed to make the vehicle fly even higher with a fantastic mod. Gone are the days of mindlessly walking around the planets hoping to find something interesting like Star Field players can now simply sit in the driver’s seat of a speedy buggy. Taking this idea a step further, modders quickly figured out how to take the bones of the REV-8 and transform it into something more visually unique without losing its usefulness.

Posted on Star Field Creations page, modder zone79 shared your design for the GRAV-79, a cyberpunk-inspired autonomous hovercraft that can be purchased from a ship service technician. An upgrade from the REV-8 in every way, this vehicle allows players to fly across the land or take to the sky by holding down the vertical thrust button and forward thrust controls. It also proves useful thanks to the additional damage on its laser turret, which can make dealing with small groups of enemies much easier, especially with such a quick escape option.

Modifying Starfield to be better

Need a little help

The modding community has been especially helpful when it comes to transforming Star Field in the RPG that many players wanted it to be when Bethesda first announced it. The studio itself has done an admirable job of keeping the experience fresh and relevant: The surprise release of REV-8 was enough to bring back many deceased players and the Shattered Space The DLC stirred up some excitement. At the same time, modders have also helped make the game better thanks to a never-ending stream of tweaks, improvements, and custom content releases.

The release of Creations was a shot in the arm for Star Field as players on all platforms had the option to access content that was previously only available on PC. Although initial interest in the system is high, Star Fieldthe company’s reputation has yet to fully recover from its rocky launch. It has managed to find a niche that enjoys its broad open-world design, but with Shattered Space disappointing the community, it remains to be seen whether it will be able to achieve a No Man’s Sky-style turnaround.

Starfield still needs a lot of work

But who doesn’t love a Hovercar?

As much as I didn’t like it Star Field, I think mods like the GRAV-79 are a remarkable expression of love for the game. Zone79 is to be commended for the amount of effort put into bringing the vehicle to life; I’m thinking about re-downloading Bethesda’s RPG just to try it out. I may not like Star Fieldbut flying in a hovercar is always fun.
