This article contains possible spoilers for The Golden Bachelorett. The golden bachelorette star Joan Vassos is impressive at first glance, but beneath the surface, she may have issues serious enough to warrant cancellation. She debuted in The Golden Bachelor with Gerry Turner, but was destined to be rejected by the show’s protagonist. She bounced back, being cast in an exciting new spin-off that allowed her to choose from a series of interesting suitors, including “hot dad” Mark Anderson and wealthy control freak Chock Chapple.
The finale is approaching, so it’s time to talk about why Joan might be bad for the franchise and disappoint fans in the end.
Joan used her sensitivity and discreet charm to get close to Gerry in The Golden Bachelorbut ultimately their efforts were futile. He chose another woman in her place. His final choice, Theresa Nist, is a good woman, as is Joan. The issue is that Gerry may have gone on the show looking for clout rather than actually wanting to connect with a potential life partner. Theresa and Gerry were not meant to last and divorced just months after their “fairytale” wedding. Then Joana came in The golden bachelorette after experiencing rejection. This may not be the best starting point.
Joan may not be willing to change for love
Is she very happy in Rockville, Maryland?
According to Reality Steve and other recent spoilers, Joan chooses Chock and he “puts a ring on it.” Their whirlwind romance is playing out on screen. Joan seems to appreciate Chock’s “alpha male” approach, although this could be a red flag. At the bowling date, he stayed glued to her side, acting like a husband. Some people like these things and others don’t. Everyone is different.
She can like whatever she wants, but if Chock asks her to stay away from her family, what will she say? This is why she might not be the perfect reality star. Maybe she was a little deceitful, pretending that she is ready to go all in with someone when in fact she is quite set in her ways and totally reluctant to change.
Chock lives in Wichita, Kansas. He is established in the area and is known for his success in the insurance niche. If he wants Joan to join him there, she might hesitate and destroy their entire relationship. Location can be an obstacle.
If Joan came into the show knowing that she would never change her living situation for anyone because she loves her family so much, maybe she’s a little shady. There is no proof of this, but it is not impossible. She might like the fame, the flirting… whatever. However, when the rubber meets the road, Joan may discover that the life she has now makes her happier than a new life with someone else ever couldI.
Maybe Joan is happier alone
This program can test people
With age comes wisdom, generally. See Joana in her element in the Instagram post shown above. People learn more about themselves, and if they want happiness, they spend most of their time doing what they love. Joan is all about family, and if she’s forced to choose between her life in Maryland and a new life in Kansas, she might realize she just doesn’t want it. In fact, she might have already secretly decided this.
Gerry and Theresa faced this problem. They learned the hard way that switching to a partner is hard to do. Neither of them could find the motivation to go so far for love. Probably because they already have love at home – a lot of love. They have children.
The golden bachelorette It’s an interesting social experiment. The people who appear on the show have lived a long time – they’re not impulsive twenty-somethings. Getting people like this to dramatically change their lives for others is not easy. Therefore, the true ending of the fairy tale could be completely impossible. Joan can prove people wrong, but unfortunately, she can prove that true happiness cannot be found in the series due to life situations and more.
The golden bachelorette airs Wednesdays at 8pm EDT on ABC.
