Echoes of Wisdom: Should you head to Eldin Volcano, Faron Wetlands, or Holy Mount Lanayru first?

After clearing the first few areas The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomthe game offers three new options for your next main destination. Rifts have appeared in the Eldin Volcano, the Faron Wetlands, and the Holy Mountain of Lanayru, which are respectively northwest, north, and southeast of Hyrule Castle. There’s nothing stopping Zelda from fighting any of them first.so it comes down to a question of the optimal approach.

Choosing between the Eldin Volcano, the Faron Swamps, and the sacred Mount Lanayru is similar to the previous coin toss between the Gerudo Desert and the Waters of Jabul, but with three options it can be an even more daunting decision. All three areas also increase the difficulty level and contain long quest chains and sizable dungeons, so it’s something of a commitment no matter which one is chosen.

Benefits of visiting Eldin Volcano first in Echoes Of Wisdom

Blazing echoes abound

We are heading to the Eldin volcano. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes Wisdom literally ramps up the heat, with plenty of lava, hot surfaces, and fiery enemies to encounter. The Goron civilization can also be found there, and the young leader struggling to take his father’s place serves as a key character for Zelda to interact with.

Connected

Most of the prominent echoes found in Eldin Volcano focus on fire. and heading to this region first gives Zelda more to work with than Ignizol, who does the hard work of setting things on fire early in the game. Torch Slug and Fire Keese are very fun to use, and Fire Wizard is a particularly powerful attack option when Zelda has five triangle points to work with (which may not happen until after she completes the region if she gets it down first) .

What’s more, the flying Zirro throws bombs, opening up another option besides dropping a bomb fish that flops to the ground. Later in the Eldin area, Zelda can unlock bombs for her swordsman form.giving her the option to throw them away the traditional way or use them as Bombchus.

Benefits of Visiting Faron Wetlands First

High-level echoes and electrifying enemies

Returning to the swamps of Faron might not seem like the most exciting move if Zelda has just completed Jabul Waters, but it’s not as similar a region as the name might suggest. The tropical jungle harbors all sorts of dangers, and much of the swimming is limited to side-scrolling segments.

Connected

The Swamps of Faron are a great place to pick up powerful echoes for combat.with Lizalfos level 3, Electric Wizzrobe, Motula lvl. 2 and Darknut lvl. 3 – strong options, which require five points of the triangle to use. Darknut Lv. 3 in particular is not to be missed as this armored fighter is capable of killing many of the game’s enemies with one shot without interruption.

This Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom the area is also home to a number of electric enemies outside of regional Wizzrobe, all of which make it easy to take down enemies and stage deadly attacks. Pairing them with Drippitoon, a frog that sings to make it rain, is particularly effective.

Benefits of Visiting Lanayru Holy Mountain First

Embracing the coldest corners of Hyrule

As for mountains, the route to Holy Mount Lanayru is essentially the opposite of traveling to Eldin Volcano in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Scorching surfaces and fiery enemies are largely replaced by ice and icy foes, which may actually prove to be an even bigger threat since Zelda needs to stay warm in particularly cold places. Marvelous, Holy Mountain Lanayru still has a couple of good fire echoes.with Frypan and the easily enraged Temper Twilus proving effective.

Overall, however, Holy Mountain Lanayru provides Zelda with a colder set of echoes, from the Ice Wizzrobe to the giant snowball. Enemies such as Sword Moblin Lv. 3 may be useful, but the real standout would be the new mobility options. Although the Ice Block is less useful than the Water Block, it is a lot of fun and the cloud’s status as an aerial platform more than compensates for how quickly it collapses under a steady weight.

You should go to Eldin Volcano before everyone else

The stated order of quests makes sense

Zelda receives the Piece of Heart at Eldin Volcano in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom

There is a decent argument for considering these three areas in any order, but Ultimately, it makes sense to head to Eldin Volcano first.. The biggest reason is due to the abundance of Flame Echo, which proves useful in both other regions. The swamps of Faron are littered with cobwebs that are quickly destroyed by fire, and the flames keep Zelda warm even when she doesn’t have a suitable smoothie or potion on hand in the coldest parts of the climb to Holy Mount Lanayru. Having swordsman-shaped bombs also proves effective in both other regions.

Regardless of regional order, it’s best to complete side quests found closer to the center of the kingdom as early as possible, as they unlock new abilities such as mounts, useful accessories, and the ability to talk to cats throughout Hyrule.

Faron Wetlands makes the most sense as a second destination in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomas the region’s electric enemies will also prove more effective against the enemies in Lanayru’s Holy Mountain than the other way around. There’s also a good sense of puzzle progression when solving problems in this order – Volcano of Eldin mostly has the easiest puzzles, while Swamps of Faron and Holy Mountain of Lanayru continue to get a bit more difficult, although there’s no drastic difference in difficulty regardless of order.

Ultimately, either approach should work reasonably well, and even doing the opposite would have some benefits, such as allowing Zelda to use cloud echo in other regions. However, for those still undecided, there’s probably a reason why the Land of the Goddesses quest puts Eldin Volcano first, and the echoes found there should prove consistently useful throughout the rest of the game. In terms of overall effectiveness, there is no stronger order than Elden Volcano in first place, Swamps of Faron in second and Holy Mountain of Lanayru in last. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Strange rifts are tearing Hyrule apart, and with Link missing, it’s up to Princess Zelda to save the kingdom. Armed with the Tri-Wand and with the help of a mysterious fairy, she must solve puzzles, create “echoes” of the environment, and battle enemies as she travels through new regions and uncovers hidden secrets.
