The NPCs in Echoes Of Wisdom are even dumber than those in TOTK

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is filled to the brim with charming NPCs, but as enjoyable as they may be to talk to, they aren’t necessarily the smartest citizens Hyrule has ever seen. Regardless of the game in question, Zelda The series has never been one for NPCs expounding philosophy or delivering elaborate monologues, generally preferring to keep things a little closer to the ground. Majority Zelda characters are generally more likely to talk about a missing bird or rumors nearby, and this straightforward approach is a defining part of the franchise’s structure.

Doesn’t matter, how fast Zelda NPCs in the process of being mastered can still vary greatly.. Some of them are ridiculously stupid, e.g. Heavenly Sword– the charmingly stupid Groose, but there is usually little reason to believe that the average Zelda the character is unaware of what is happening around him. Tears of the Kingdomhowever, raised some questions about how many NPCs in the game interacted with Link, and Echo of Wisdom in fact, it manages to double this component.

More NPCs Should Recognize Zelda in Echoes Of Wisdom

The princess stands out from the crowd

Ultimately there is one big blind spot for Echo of Wisdom NPC – they’re not very good at recognizing Zelda’s personality. At the beginning of the game, the general lack of recognition makes sense, as she travels in hooded clothing and only lowers her hood when actively revealing her presence. However, at a certain point Zelda gains access to alternate outfits that don’t serve the same purpose of traveling incognito, and the change still doesn’t turn on any light bulbs for the average villager you meet later.

This is a funny sequel Tears of the KingdomIn a similar trend, even some of the returning supporting characters from the first game act as if Link is a completely new figure to them. In general, however, TOTC acknowledges Link’s acquaintance more oftensince the key groups of characters who would have good reason to remember him tend to recognize him upon his return. When it comes to some of the smaller villages, it’s no surprise that Link isn’t a household name, as his approach to saving Hyrule in the first game didn’t get much attention.

IN Echo of WisdomHowever, it goes without saying that awareness of the Princess of Hyrule will generally be stronger, and some NPCs will mention Zelda by name without realizing that they are actually talking to her. In medieval fantasy, there is nothing strange about people who don’t live in the castle village not knowing her face at first sight, but their inability to understand the nature of her personality is even more remarkable. The young woman with an ornate crown and the image of the Triforce on her dress does not look like the average traveler.and some deductive reasoning might force them to at least consider the possibility.

Why the characters don’t recognize Princess Zelda in Echoes of Wisdom

Logic doesn’t improve the game

No matter how stupid it may seem, Echo of Wisdom Stuffing NPCs who don’t recognize Zelda is still a scenario where it’s worth suspending disbelief. The greatest joy of interacting with NPCs is encountering different personalities and unique pieces of dialogue.and if everyone found out about Zelda’s identity, it would do a lot of damage to the concept. Most of the inhabitants of the remote village acted in a monotonously respectful manner when meeting the princess, which reduced the number of interesting interactions that could be found.

It’s also interesting to flip the script on the legend a bit, given that Zelda is playing a major role for the first time ever. The villagers talk to her about Link more often than about anyone else, often bringing up the green-tuniced hero who did some good deed or another. Looking past Zelda’s personality, one can see how Link’s heroism creates a legacy.something that could previously only be fully experienced from his perspective.

Echo of Wisdom The NPC’s inability to recognize Zelda isn’t a big deal, but it’s still a little funny to think about how ignorant they seem. Or perhaps they’re just pretending not to know, for Zelda’s sake or for their own purposes of getting someone to do their side quests. Anyway, someone doesn’t pay attention to The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and it seems best to assume that the princess is not the one who cannot keep up.
