Bill Murray is the only actor I’ve ever worked with who, when they tried to convince him to do another [Ghostbusters]… Bill basically said, ‘If Ernie Hudson isn’t in it, I’m not going to do it.’ There aren’t many people who stick up for you. And that was very, very special. So I love all the guys. They are very, very supportive. I was already acting, I don’t know, many years before I even did Ghostbusters. The studio really wasn’t that welcoming, but the guys [Murray, Ramis, and Aykroyd] they were. When we do a scene, the guys say, ‘Wait a minute, Ernie isn’t saying anything. So let’s make sure it’s included. Many of these lines probably could have been sent to someone else, but they were kind enough to make sure I was always included. The studio kind of went out of its way to make sure I wasn’t included. It reached the poster. It got to the PR stuff. The guys were really [inclusive]and that’s why I really considered them very, very special people in my life.
