Agatha All Along’s MCU Recast Reveal Addressed by Original Actor

The original star who played Billy Maximoff reacted to the revelation of Tin’s identity in the new Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney+ show Agatha all along. Tin, the character played by Heartstoppers Joe Locke, was a part of the Agatha all along Cast from the first episode, though his true identity was hidden behind a magical seal that prevented the witches working alongside him from revealing who he was. However, the last moments of episode 5 reveal that he is Billy Maximoff, the son of the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).

On his official X account, Julian HilliardWho played Billy Maximoff in five episodes of WandaVision and the follow-up feature Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessIn which Scarlet Witch was the primary antagonist, responded to his character recast. The young actor, who also appeared in The Haunting of Hill House And The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It share that “Joe Locke is awesomesaid that “I fully support whatever role he plays in the MCUAnd followed his comment with an emoji of a smiling face wearing glasses. First and foremost, this post reveals that There are no hard feelings surrounding the recasting reveal of these Agatha all along Episode 5 ending. In fact, this isn’t the first time a young character has had to be recast because of a time jump. This previously happened with Ant-Man’s daughter Cassie Lang, who was originally portrayed by Abby Ryder Fortson before being replaced by Emma Fuhrmann in Avengers: Endgame And then Kathryn Newton in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

The exact reason why Billy appears at the age he is at Agatha all along remains unknownWi Tin’s identity was only revealed in the final seconds of the episode and will likely be explored further in episode 6, which premieres on October 16. However, Joe Locke is 21 years old in real life while Hilliard is 13, allowing the incoming actor to portray the character at a significantly older age. Additionally, Locke is not limited by the requirements for underage actors, which usually includes on-set tutoring and shortened hours.

For example, it is possible that he could still play a younger Billy in flashback sequences.
