New EVE Online mobile game is “low effort” and “AI Slop”, according to fans

The newest game in EVE Online the franchise is over and it’s not what fans expected. The new game is a free mobile game titled EVE Conquest of the Galaxy released on October 29th. The aim of the game is to expand the world of EVE Onlinethe massive, long-running sci-fi MMO from CCP Games, but instead it’s being met with critical and negative reviews.

A launch trailer was revealed on EVE Conquest of the Galaxy YouTube channel with a terrible view count of less than 10k in a week. In contrast, MMO Population reports that there are more than 10.58 million accounts in the game, with an estimated 59 thousand players per day last month. EVE fans are criticizing the new mobile game and criticizing CCP games for not wasting time making a good companion game for your IP.

In a comment on the launch trailer, YouTube user mushetti3166 he writes “Well, a big ‘NO THANKS’, another rubbish money-making EVE game. Shame on you developers.“Editor Keydet echoes this sentiment in a Reddit thread criticizing the mobile game’s apparent overuse of AI-generated art and assets, saying that “It’s almost funny how little effort they put into this amalgamation of AI garbage“and calling the entire game”dumpster fire.
