One Piece may have already revealed what Loki’s Devil Fruit is, and it’s terrifying

After the end of the chaotic and beloved Egghead arc, the One piece the manga took fans to a destination they had been waiting years to explore: the Kingdom of Elbaph. The Land of the Giants has been one of the most unique and intriguing locations in the series, with equally mysterious new characters.

Among these enigmatic new cast members, the manga introduced a new villain that could spell disaster for the Straw Hats and their friend Loki. One of the first details revealed to readers about the Cursed Prince is that he murdered his father to obtain the powers of a legendary Devil Fruit still called. Still, the series may have already hinted that Loki’s powers are related to a Norse myth and a fearsome creature destined to start Ragnarök and end the world in Norse culture.

Loki’s Devil Fruit Could Be a Mythical Zoan

Fenrir’s Powers May Be Unleashed Soon

In chapter #1130 of One piece manga, after being freed from their temporary prison inside a fake city, Luffy and his friends began exploring the Elbaph Kingdom. While walking through the snowy mountains, the Straw Hat Captain noticed a rumbling near them and decided to investigate who could be causing it. This decision led him to a giant bound by colossal chains. Luffy introduced himself as the man who will one day become the Pirate King, making his new acquaintance laugh.

The mysterious giant introduced himself as the Sun God, Loki, destined to end the world. The Prince of Elbaph is inspired by the Norse god of the same name, a deity known for being mischievous, deceitful, and often cruel. Despite not saying much in chapter #1130, One pieceLoki’s version appears to share all of these characteristics. It is these similarities, as well as his promise to bring about the end of the world, that strongly suggest that the prince has Fenrir’s powers.

According to Norse mythology, this gigantic wolf was the son of the trickster god, Loki, destined to fight Odin during Ragnarök. In an attempt to prevent this from occurring, the other Aesir deities decided to chain Fenrir to a huge rock with unbreakable magical chains. The fact that Loki is not only shown in such a similar manner, but also revealed that he will destroy everything, makes it seem like his Devil Fruit is one of the Mythical Zoan types that grants him the abilities of the legendary wolf.

Loki’s release could trigger the end of the series

A version of Ragnarök could start soon

Loki could destroy everything if he were ever released, as stated by the Giant Pirates.

Although he is currently unable to escape his situation, Prince Loki will likely escape at some point in the future. He is a highly anticipated character who has been hinted at being of great importance in One piecethe story. If your Devil Fruit is indeed linked to the mythical Fenrir, its release could trigger a cataclysmic event that could destroy the world. In Norse mythology, Ragnarök was more than just a battle between the Aesir deities and the children of Loki, it was an event that would destroy the nine realms into which the universe was divided.

Freeing the Cursed Prince from his chains could be what begins the final battle of the One piece manga, the long-teased conflict between the world’s major powers that was supposed to bring about the end of Eiichiro Oda’s beloved story. Loki could be an incredible ally for the pirates in their battle against the oppressive and cruel Celestial Dragons. From a narrative standpoint, this would make perfect sense, as Fenris was also prophesied to bring about the end of the gods, and Celestial Dragons are seen as deities in the world of the series.

The Celestial Dragons in one piece

The manga also gave many other indications that the story is heading in a similar direction, as shown by what happens in Norse myth when the world ends. After the final battle between Gods and Giants, the deities and mortals who survived are given a second chance at life in a new world born from the sea. In chapter #1113, Vegapunk revealed that the world of the series is doomed to be dominated by water. If the story follows the myth of Ragnarok, after defeating the World Government, a new world will emerge.

Prince Loki will undoubtedly be an important actor in this latest saga of One piecewhether as an opponent or rival of the Straw Hats. His legendary Devil Fruit will likely be revealed during the manga’s current arc and will no doubt shock fans with its incredible abilities.

One Piece chronicles the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a laid-back young pirate with the power to stretch like rubber, obtained by eating a Devil Fruit. Luffy and his motley crew sail the Grand Line in search of the ultimate treasure, the One Piece, to become the Pirate King.
