Warning: MAJOR SPOILERS ahead for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2, episode 6!
Undead chief content officer Scott Gimple addressed Laurent’s involvement in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3, along with its potential in the future of the franchise. Daryl Dixon Season 2 ended with Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) taking Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) out of France, with him flying to America alongside Ash (Manish Dayal). The point of Season 3 now is for the main duo to also return home, last seen walking through the Tunnel from France to England in hopes of finding safe passage.
Talking to Weekly entertainmentGimple has indicated that he is working on the idea of seeing Laurent in America again, potentially during Daryl Dixon. Although the content director did not specify whether he would return in season 3, he praised Puech Scigliuzzi for his performance and dedication to the character, wanting to bring him back, especially because of his importance to Daryl. Check out what Gimple had to say below:
I received a message from Louis [Puech Scigliuzzi] almost asking the same question. In fact, he is much more polite than that. He was just checking in.
It is a garden of forking paths. There are different things that I’ve been working on, and I absolutely toyed with how Laurent could fit into those things in America.
You have all these points of articulation. Like, oh, if we’re doing this, we can’t do that. Or if we stop doing that, we won’t be able to do that. Or what do we need here? And who is available then? But yes, he is absolutely in mind. Louis is fantastic, Laurent was wonderful. And such a great character to bring different things to Daryl. I’m a fan.
More to come…
