While audiences get more shots of Lauren out of costume, A quick morphing sequence seems to show the Samurai Rangers morphing – but in the center is a black-haired woman morphing into the red ranger suit who is clearly not Lauren. Past previews have shown Lauren morphing into her usual red concept, but perhaps the new Rangers being integrated into the franchise could use the former, captive Samurai Rangers’ morphers—perhaps in a desperate scenario—to acclimate themselves to Rangerhood. If this is the case, it will likely lead to the new Rangers eventually getting unique suits and morphers of their own.

Is the new Power Rangers series connected to the MMPR boom! series?

An Eltarian presence suggests the answer is yes Yes

Comic book cover: Eltar propaganda featuring Eltarian warrior Zordon with a child on his shoulder.

Notably, Eltarians – Eltar is Zordon’s home planet – are featured in this series, as seen in previous previews, variant covers and now the trailer. One black-bearded Altarian exists, Zartus, the Silver Guardian of Altar, and Zordon’s former ally who turns on him during Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Eltarian War arc.
