Five Nights at Freddy’s has a full cast of iconic characters since the first game introduced Freddy Fazbear and the gang. Along with the more friendly animatronics present throughout the series are andSome hideous villains, like William Afton and his later predecessor (or even him), Glitchtrap. However, There is a villain who, despite being much nicer than the purple one, deserves much more attention in the series: Circus Baby.
First appearing in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location, Circus Baby is the soft-spoken animatronic that guides the player through his new job. As she begins the game comforting the players and helping them overcome the dangers presented by the other animatronics in Five Nights at Freddy’stheir true intentions will be revealed when players enter the Scooping Room. Beautifully voiced by Heather Masters, Circus Baby has a fascinating story and motivation that should be explored further in the future FNAF games.

A tragic backstory and evil intentions make for a menacing villain
Circus Baby is the central animatronic in Sister locationalongside Funtime Foxy and Ballora, living in an underground branch of Fazbear Entertainment called Circus Baby’s Entertainment and Rental. Circus Baby talks about an important part of its history in a monologue halfway through the game. THE Five Nights at Freddy’s animatronic once attended a children’s birthday party, where he automatically killed a lone little girl who ventured too close. It has since been confirmed that the girl was Elizabeth Afton, who owned the Circus Baby animatronic and has been trapped inside ever since.
Circus Baby, aka Elizabeth Afton, has one of the saddest backstories in all of history. FNAF series. Not only was she murdered by her own father’s creation, which was programmed with the sole intention of killing children, but also her father apparently knew she owned the animatronic and continued to allow her company to mistreat her with electric shocks.
Instead of trying to hunt down your father like your brother Michael Circus Baby expresses interest in following in his father’s footsteps after years of torture and neglect. At the end of completion of Freddy Fazbear’s pizzeria simulator, Baby becomes Scrap Baby, one of the scariest animatronics in the world FNAF series. In it, Baby tells her father that she will continue her work before Michael burns down the building with all the animatronics inside. Baby is a villain through and through, but with a tragic backstory that makes her very likable.
The next FNAF game should explore more of Circus Baby’s story
Multiple time periods could be used in the next title in the series
Circus Baby is one of the most fascinating villains in a horror video game. She is manipulative and intelligent, as shown by how she tricks the player into entering the Scooping Room in Sister location. Circus Baby makes players believe there is something good in her to save, but her actions show that she is her father’s daughter until the end. While Baby’s story is involved in Pizzeria Simulator, there are periods of time not accounted for in the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise when it could be further explored.
Two periods could be interesting to explore in one FNAF game: before she and the other animatronics were storedmaybe in your own pizzeria like Freddy Fazbear, or when she combined into Ennard with the other animatronics before arriving at the alley in Pizzeria simulator. A villain like Circus Baby, who has the sympathetic story of a murdered child but is just as evil as his father, should not be forgotten. Another game or movie featuring Baby would be a fantastic addition to the Five Nights at Freddy’s series given her role as a tragic villain.
