After several episodes without a single appearance Dan-Dan episode 5 revealed the truth behind their mascot: Dan-DanTurbo Granny’s mascot is trapped inside a cat doll. After Okarun realized that he only recovered his penis, not his testicles, Momo and Okarun went to Seiko for help and discovered that he was possessed by a mysterious creature. This creature turned out to be Turbo Granny, because after Momo and Okarun’s fight with Turbo Granny in episode #4, she possessed Okarun at the last second and tried to hide until she regained enough strength to kill everyone.
Seiko forced Turbo Granny to transform into a cat doll after discovering her inside Okarun and much to Turbo Granny’s surprise Okarun retained Turbo Granny’s powers as they were left inside Okarun while only his consciousness was placed inside the doll. Turbo Granny was left without the power or means to fight the heroes, but Momo, who had come to sympathize with Turbo Granny after discovering her hidden motivations, offered to return her powers in exchange for Okarun’s testicles. Turbo Granny reluctantly agreed, although she revealed that she lost Okarun’s testicles, meaning she will remain in the series for the foreseeable future.

Turbo Grandma becoming Dan-DanThe mascot is a great twist not only because it’s so unexpected, but because it’s a perfect way to keep Turbo Granny in the story. Not only does Turbo Granny manage to be equal parts hilarious and horrifying, but episode 4 gave her surprising depth, with Turbo Granny being a guardian for deceased girls. Dan-DanGrandma Turbo He’s already one of the best-developed characters in the cast.So being able to see more of her in such a unique way will only be great for the series.
The benefit of having Turbo Granny around can already be seen in episode 5. Not only does she maintain the same comedic back and forth that she already had with the cast, but being forced into a helpless position added even more comedy to Turbo Granny’s scenesas now she has to face the same kind of abuse she subjected the cast to just a few episodes ago. Add an opportunity for Turbo Granny’s character to develop thanks to the situation and she becomes Dan-DanThe new mascot is the perfect development for the series to go through.
