Star Trek is officially destroying its entire multiverse

The whole Star Trek multiverse – including the Prime, Kelvin and Mirror universes, is about to be destroyed. Recent IDW Issues Star Trek comic followed Captain Sisko and his crew as they navigated the multiverse, which is under threat from the evil android Lore. At a first glance Star Trek #28, Lore’s nefarious plans for the multiverse come to fruition when he falls before him.

IDW recently shared its January requests, including Star Trek #28, which will be written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly and drawn by Tess Fowler. The prompt for the question is as follows:

Lore has destroyed the multiverse and its fate is now in the hands of Benjamin Sisko. But after the USS Theseus reaches the Celestial Temple, Sisko finds himself without his crew… or any technology… on Bronze Age Bajor. The ancient Bajorans don’t know what to make of him: is he a terrifying threat or the prophet they’ve been waiting for? If Sisko wants to save his own life from the Orb of Destruction, he must first save himself…

Star Trek #28 is the fourth part of the “When the Walls Fell” storyline, which takes fans on a journey through Walk multiverse. THE TheseusSisko’s ship, and the only survivors of Lore’s attack, have thus far traveled through Fluidic Space, and at the conclusion of Star Trek #25, found themselves in the Kelvin Universe.

Other Star Trek episodes, from across the franchise, involved forms of travel through the multiverse. In the episode “Parallels”, shown on Star Trek: The Next Generation In the seventh season, Worf travels through several different realities, some of them quite dark. And Lore seeks to annihilate that potential and remake it in his image. In Star Trek #25, Lore, using the Bajoran Orb of Destruction, destroys the Prime Universe. The request for Star Trek #28 reveals that Lore didn’t stop there, and the Mirror and Kelvin universes also disappeared. As this crisis spreads across the Star Trek universe, Sisko and the crew of the Theseus must find a way to not only stop Lore, but somehow restore the multiverse he destroyed. This story will unfold in the pages of next year The War of Knowledge.
