Final Boss of Echoes of Wisdom – Zero

Nall’s role in the finale

Fighting Zero in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

First of all, Null is the final boss Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Once Zelda rescues Link, the two learn of Null’s existence and discover that he is the true source of all the discord opening up around Hyrule. He acted deliberately by separating Zelda and Link as he knew that the two heroes together would pose the greatest threat to his current plan. Of course, he greatly underestimated Zelda’s strength, which led to her downfall.

Zelda and Link face Null together for the first time, using the power of the Three Wands and the might of the Master Sword to rip off his arms. In the end, Zelda will have to fight Null alone, using all the echoes and powers she has gained throughout the game to pursue him through the stormy waters. Eventually, the two heroes reunite and battle hordes of monsters before finally defeating Null himself and taking the final piece of the Triforce from him. Zelda and Link then reforge the Triforce, sealing Nall away.

What follows is a bittersweet ending.: Everyone returns from the rifts to Hyrule, and Zelda is celebrated for her heroism. She was distraught over having to part ways with her ally Three, but

Is Null’s decline truly a sign of wisdom?

Similarities Between Null and Demise

Many have noted certain similarities between Null and other forgotten Zelda Villain: Demis, the final boss and main antagonist Heavenly Sword. The similarities are pretty obvious: both Null and Demise are primordial beings that existed before the world even existed in their respective games. Zero predates the very creation of the universe, and Demise is said to exist outside of time.

Per Echo of Wisdom, when the three Golden Goddesses Nayru, Din and Farore created the world, they did it to seal Null so that it does not consume their creation. At the end of the game, Zelda and Link restore the seal using the Three Wands and another familiar item, the Triforce, in Echo of Wisdom.

In much the same way, Demis rebelled against the goddess Hylia, successor to Nayru, Din and Farore. (It is often said that the Golden Goddesses exist in several worlds, so some time after the creation of what we see in Zeldathey probably left to do the same elsewhere.) It could only be sealed by the power of the Triforce, a gift from the Golden Goddesses of Hylia. Let us recall that Link and Zelda also use the Triforce to seal Demise at the end. Echo and wisdomand it all starts to make sense.

Demise is noticeably different from Null, but there is already a precedent for this in the lore. Ganon himself is heavily implied by the end Heavenly Swordto be a manifestation of Demise’s rage. So if Demise could change his form over the years and become Ganon, it wouldn’t be that hard to imagine. Nall could have done the same in advance to become Demise..

Again, Echo of Wisdom establishes that Null predates the known universe, so what has he been doing on his own all this time? As it turned out, nothing – that’s the whole point. Nall prefers to do nothing and sleep in a state of absolute nothingness. He only became a threat when something appeared with him in the void, spreading light and noise and disturbing his sleep.

So, the Golden Goddesses created the world as a prison for Zero. But over time, the walls of this prison weakened, and Nall opened the cracks, as it was during Echo of Wisdom. To maintain the stability of their creation, the Goddesses created Threewhose role in the world will be to close the rifts opened by Null.

Eventually, Null became aware of certain aspects of his prison and learned of the Triforce that Hylia wielded. It was also revealed that two heroes – Link and Zelda – would one day rise to fight him. So he goes ahead with a plan: he steals the first piece of the Triforce to gain some of Hylia’s power, and sends Link into the rift. And just like that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom begins: with the first stages of the Nalla conspiracy.
