Update 1.6 of Stardew Valley Introduced a special series of items called trinkets. The eight equippable items—the Basilisk Paw, Fairy Box, Frog Egg, Golden Spur, Ice Rod, Magic Hair Gel, Magic Quiver, and Parrot Egg—all Give unique benefits to the player. Trinkets can only be used after Players have achieved combat masteryWhich unlocks a single slot for a trinket as well as a recipe for an anvil.
All transactions in Stardew Valley Are useful or fun in their own wayBut some are much more useful in combat situations when players pass through the skull caverns or make their way through the dangerous mines. Trinkets can be found in crates or barrels in the mines, in the Skull Cavern and its treasure rooms, in the Quarry Mine, or dropped by slain monsters though the Drop rates are very small. For example, there is only a 0.63% chance of finding a trinket in a Skull Cavern treasure chest, which makes finding even one quite difficult.

Magic Hair Gel is the least useful trinket
A trinket with style, but not much else
Of all the trinkets, the magic hair gel is technically the least useful for gameplay It is entirely cosmetic. When in use, the magic hair gel makes the player’s hair change color in the same way that other items with the prismatic paint effect do. This makes it possible to have a completely prismatic look from head to toe! Using the magic hair gel is always fun to add some more color to the farmer, although it doesn’t do much for combat.
Unlike the other trinkets, magic hair gel is not dropped by any enemies or found in the Skull Cavern treasure chests. It can only be purchased at Alex’s shop in the Desert Festivalwhich runs from the 15th to the 17th of spring.

Golden Spur has a nice speed boost
A little speed boost, sometimes
The Golden Spur is a sometimes useful trinket that gives the player A boost of +1 speed when a critical strike lands on an enemy. Unfortunately, it is one of the less useful trinkets in Stardew Valley Simply because there are so many consumables and recipes in it Stardew Valley To use when in the mines or skull caverns, like pepper poppers and triple shot espresso, which give comparable speed boosts. Since players will only unlock trinkets later in gameplay, it’s likely that these consumables are already easily accessible, which adds The Golden Spur lower on the list When rank all trinkets.

Parrot egg brings more gold
A pirate companion who brings treasure
One of three trinkets to spawn a companion, the parrot egg hatches a Friendly parrot who will cause enemies to sometimes drop gold coinsEach is worth 250g when killed. Having a small bird friend to connect with the farmer through the mine or skull caverns is very cute, but it does not provide much help during combat.
Related
The Still gold is also a good profitBut similar to the Golden Spur, this benefit has less impact for late game players since they are more likely to be flush with gold at this point. Important note is that the parrot cannot be harmed by enemies, which is relieving since players would not have to worry about protecting their birdie.

Frog Egg spawns a companion in Stardu Valley 1.6
A friend to eat the monsters
Like the parrot egg, the frog egg Spawns in a frog companion to assist the player When fighting monsters. The frog egg is slightly better in that it spawns into companions that directly help in combat instead of helping the farmer make more money. In fact, HHe frog simply eats any enemy whole That gets too close. The frog is also a bit more fun than the parrot in that it can be re-forged with the anvil to change its color.
unfortunately, The frog can only eat one enemy at a timeAnd it takes about 12 seconds for it to digest before eating up another enemy. The frog will eat any enemy, even invisible ones, except truffle crabs, prismatic slimes, and any of the player slides into a slime hatch.

Ice Rod is a useful trinket in combat
Monsters won’t be so hot
The Ice Rod is one of three trinkets that help in combat by directly impacting monsters. it Shoot out orbs of ice that freeze any monsters in its pathWhich makes the Ice Rod invaluable for fighting larger mobs of monsters all at once or just stopping more pesky monsters from being able to fight back. THe celebrates every three to five secondsBut if you point an anvil at a perfect ice rod, it will fire every three seconds and freeze enemies for four seconds.
3
Fairy Box is great for players bad at combat
A helpful fairy to heal you
This trinket might be the most useful item for any players who aren’t great at combat. The fairy box spawns an incredibly helpful fairy that heals the player during combat. Like other trinkets, the fairy box has different levels that can be changed by re-forging it on an anvil. At level one, the fairy heals every 4.7 seconds with a healing power of 80%.
From there, the healing time and power goes up at intervals until level five which heals every 3.5 seconds at 120% healing power. like the frog egg, The fairy box has multiple cosmetic variations. Unfortunately, the style of the fairy is locked to each player in a save file, so it cannot be changed in the anvil in the same way as the frog egg.
2
Magic Quiver is another useful trinket for combat
Archery on command, perfect against enemies
The Magic Quiver, like the Ice Rod, is a trinket that automatically strikes nearby monsters with a ranged attack. Instead of a ball of ice, The magic quiver shoots a magic arrow that hits the nearest monster to the playerWhile also damaging any other monsters in its path. What gives the magic the edge over the ice rod as a ranged weapon is that The quiver has multiple types that can be changed by re-forging it on an anvilAlthough the change is random like all other trinkets.

Basilisk Paw is the best trinket in Stardu Valley
Immune to all debuffs except tips
The Basilisk Paw is the simplest trinket, but with The biggest impact for any mining expedition. This little green claw makes the player Immune to all debuffsExcept for tips. That means players cannot be slowed, jinxed, frozen, or slimed by any monster as they battle through the Skull Caverns. While all the other trinkets (except the magic hair gel) help the player improve their combat situation, The basilisk paw makes moving through monsters a breeze Which is what it is the best trinket in Stardew Valley.
