Billy Maximoff, aka Wiccan, is fully established in UCMwhich raises the question of where he might appear next. Billy Maximoff debuted in WandaVision as the son of Wanda Maximoff and Vision conjured entirely from Wanda’s chaos magic along with his twin brother, Tommy. Recognizing the immorality of the spell in which Wanda imprisoned Westview and its residents, Wanda dispelled everything he conjured – which tragically included her two children and Vision. Naturally conceived variants of Billy and Tommy would appear briefly in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Still, this was far from the end for Earth-616’s Billy Maximoff. Agatha all the time highlighted Billy as the main character, hiding his true identity for several episodes before it was confirmed that Billy’s consciousness came out of the spell and confiscated the body of William Kaplan of Eastview. Upon discovering the truth about his origins, Wiccan embraced his incredible powers and was last seen in Agatha all the time finale embarking with Agatha’s ghost in search of her brother, whom he himself resurrected. Following this setup, there are three most likely places where the story of Wicca will continue.
Billy Maximoff is most likely to appear in Marvel’s Vision Quest Show
Vision’s solo series will conclude a trilogy starring Billy
Agatha all the time is the second in a trilogy of programs that began with WandaVision and will conclude with Vision’s upcoming solo series previously titled Vision Mission. So far, Billy Maximoff was the main character in two of the three shows, which strongly suggests he will play a similar role in the final series. Recent news about Vision Mission show suggests it will be released in 2026, which puts another two years between Billy Maximoff’s appearances after his last appearance in 2022. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Also it makes sense that Billy Maximoff would appear in Vision Mission since he is the son of the titular hero — although the minutiae of their relationship has been significantly fuzzy. Billy now inhabits someone else’s body and has even balked at the idea that Wanda Maximoff is his real mother. Vision is in a similar position after being reactivated by SWORD and receiving the memories of the hex Vision who was ostensibly the “TRUE“father. This gives way to some particularly mind-bending considerations for the show to explore should Billy show up.
Billy Maximoff May Appear in Marvel’s Young Avengers Project
Wiccan is a founding member of the Young Avengers
It’s highly likely that the MCU’s Young Avengers will reunite at some point in the future. Kamala Khan kicked off the project as she was last seen recruiting HawkeyeKate Bishop to the team in the post-credits scene of The wonders before suggesting that Cassie Lang was also in the running. As a founding member of Marvel Comics’ Young Avengers It’s safe to assume Wiccan will also be a core member of the team when they finally get together – although it is not yet known when this will happen.
While the current MCU release slate doesn’t include a Young Avengers project, there is a notable gap between the releases of Avengers: Judgment Day in 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027. The Young Avengers could also move on to another release, such as Avengers: Judgment Dayif Marvel decides not to offer them their own movie or show. Alternatively, the MCU Young Avengers project could be planned for the next MCU sagain what is reported to be a soft reboot of the MCU after Avengers: Secret Wars. Even so, the Young Avengers can only remain.”Young“for so long.
Billy Maximoff May Return for Alleged Scarlet Witch Movie
Wanda Maximoff will want to see her children
A less surefire project, but one with many rumors in development at Marvel Studios, is a solo film by Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch. Wanda apparently died at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessalthough much doubt has been cast as to the permanence of his death – if it occurred at all. If this leads to a Scarlet Witch movie, then There is little doubt that his two beloved sons, Billy and Tommy, will count on.
Whether a Scarlet Witch solo film will happen, however, is another question. Marvel Studios has confirmed Wanda’s death multiple times at this point, suggesting it would prefer audiences to move on from the character. Agatha all the time may have led Wiccan as Scarlet Witch’s replacement in the MCU, which casts further doubt that the two will coexist in the same franchise. Still, if the UCM takes advantage of the affection for Wanda and delivers her solo film, it will probably be released later Vision Mission.
