Every Chicago Fire Firehouse 51 Novel Ranked

Chicago Fire has had its fair share of romances, whether they were just dates or resulted in marriages, and eight were between co-workers at Firehouse 51. Brett and Cruz were better off as friends as there were no sparks between them. The writers tried to push the two fan favorites Chicago Fire characters together, but it always felt forced as it was obvious their dynamic was closer to a brother-sister relationship than a romantic one.

The good news is that Brett and Cruz’s romance didn’t last long Chicago Fire season 3. The paramedic and the firefighter soon realized what everyone already knew – they worked much better as friends than as romantic partners. Blake Gallo and Gianna Mackey

However, the attraction between Gallo and Mackey was evident from the moment she entered Firehouse 51. Gabby Dawson and Peter Mills

Unfortunately, the connection between Gabby Dawson and Peter Mills was also quite forgettable, and not just because their romance unfolded in Chicago Fire episodes from season 1. The two characters formed a bond that began as friendship but turned romantic one night when they got together after sharing a meal. The two started out as rivals, but it became clear that their arguments and sarcastic comments were a way of flirting with each other. Gallo suggested they keep their relationship non-exclusive, but he became jealous when he saw Violet with other men. Consequently, they broke up, which was ultimately for the best. There have been countless times when it seemed like Severide and Kidd’s relationship would end (especially when rumors about Taylor Kinney’s possible relationship Chicago Fire exit were running wild). Severide and Kidd had a history before she was transferred to Truck 81 at the end of Season 4 and while she was still married to Grant Smith (Kinney’s character tried to hit on her). Possibly, Severide proposed to Kidd and they were married in season 10.
