Rio debuts full look of Lady Death in comics
Hood, Crown, Skull
Having been shown a resemblance to Lilia’s tarot cards in Agatha all the time episode 7, Aubrey Plaza’s Rio makes her full debut as Lady Death as she appears in the original Marvel Comics. This includes a dark black cape and hood, although only the bottom half of his face is a skull when compared to Death as he is depicted on the page.

“The Sacred Balance”
A subtle comic book nod to Thanos?
When speaking with Agatha, Rio confirms that Billy taking William Kaplan’s body is an abomination to the “sacred balance”. While no direct connection is made, it is important to note that Thanos himself was romantically involved with Lady Death, whose mission in the MCU was to achieve a universe-wide cosmic balance by wiping out half of all life (as seen in Avengers: Infinity War and End of the game).

Agatha revealed as the one who tied up Jennifer
For 100 years
Agatha all the time episode 3 revealed that a doctor in Boston cast a spell on Jennifer 100 years earlier. However, this was news to Agatha in episode 8, who confirms that she was the one who sold the binding spell to the doctor, allowing Jennifer to finally break the bond and regain her power.

Lines from the end of WandaVision
Billy hears Wanda and Vision’s voices

White and blue shoes for Tommy
Complete with a letter “S” for speed
Billy and Agatha finally find the ship of a drowned boy (presumably Thomas Shepard). Although his face is not shown, the boy’s blue and white shoe can be seen with the letter “S” on it, which likely stands for Speed, Tommy’s superhero name when he and Wiccan joined the Young Avengers in the comics.

Wiccan Full Comic Costume
Not Just a Halloween Costume Anymore
Leaving the Witch’s Road, Agatha faces Lady Death directly at the end of Agatha all the time episode 8. However, she is also aided by the arrival of Billy, who is dressed in his full red and blue Wiccan costume from the comics. As such, it’s very exciting to see the full costume rather than just the Halloween version that young Billy wore. WandaVision.

Agatha’s Wandavision costume
Your power restored
Offering some of his power to Agatha, Harkness is shown back in his last costume seen at the end of WandVision. Likewise, it is also the one where she dies after giving herself up to save Wiccan from Lady Death, who demanded a body.
13
Wiccan leaving Westview mirrors Wanda
From the end of WandaVision
When Wiccan leaves Agatha’s house and Westview, it very much mirrors the ending of WandaVision with Wanda. Pulling their hoods up, the two Maximoffs depart the city with what must be an intentionally mirrored frame inspired by the original MCU ending.

More movie posters in Billy’s room
Buffy, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Saw, Carrie
Different movie posters can be seen in Billy’s room compared to those that were in William’s room. This includes Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Mountain range, Carrieand The Rocky Horror Picture Show. However, The Wizard of Oz remains between the two shows.
11
Everything in Billy’s Room Connected to Witch Road
Wizard of Oz, leaves and more
When Billy inadvertently realizes that he created the Witch’s Road using his power, the young wizard sees several elements in his room that inspired the room’s creation, “better than he imagined.” This includes the yellow brick road of The Wizard of Ozthe multicolored trees and leaves, a painting of the oceanic house of Agatha all the time episode 3, and much more.

Wiccan Creating Road Confirms Lilia’s Reading
Powers of Creation (The Demiurge?)
Lilia’s tarot reading for Billy in the previous episode is referenced in Agatha all the time episode 8, confirming his powerful ability over creation itself and to “turn your goals into reality”. This could be a nod to Wiccan’s predestined future in the comics as the powerful Demiurge.
9
“Made from scratch”
Nicholas’s name in the comics
The beginning of Agatha all the time Episode 9 begins with the birth of her son Nicholas Scratch in 1750. Confirming that she did not use any spells or incantations to bring him into existence, Agatha says that she created him “from scratch“, a new MCU origin for his classic name in the original Marvel Comics.
8
Ballad Bell
Stolen by Nicholas
Six years later, Agatha’s son is shown stealing a bell from a witch, luring her and her sisters to his mother, who kills them and takes their power for himself. However, this is the same bell that Agatha appears using at the beginning of the first performance of the Balada show in Agatha all the time episode 2.
7
The ballad was Nicholas’s song
Connects to your room at the Agatha premiere
Agatha all the time episode 9 confirms that the ballad was originally created by Nicholas Scratch and his mother, which Agatha would use after his death to attract more witches and take their power. As such, this revelation explains Nicholas’s room in Agatha all the time episode 1 which featured a singing prize that Nicholas won (in the reality show created for Agatha by Wanda’s spell).
6
“Wear your purple”
Also connects back to Agatha’s debut
While living in the woods, Nicholas asks his mother if she can “use her purple”, referring to her purple magical powers. However, this also connects Agatha all the time premiere where Harkness convinces Rio not to kill her until she “get your purple back”.
5
Dandelion seed in Agatha’s locket
A memory with Nicholas
In Agatha all the time episode 8, Agatha uses a dandelion seed found in her locket to complete the final test on the Witches’ Road. To that end, Agatha all the time episode 9 shows Nicholas and Agatha blowing dandelions, explaining how the seed got into the locket.
4
Agatha was behind the witches’ road myth
Throughout all time
After Aubrey Plaza’s Lady Death takes Nicholas (after giving Agatha six years instead of taking him immediately), Agatha goes on a dark killing spree, using the Witch’s Road mythos created by the Ballad to lure clans to take over her power. . As such, Agatha is shown singing the ballad with various clans throughout the ages, building on the myth of the Road and its dangers while in fact simply adding her own magical abilities.
3
Agatha debuts classic Marvel Comics look
Ghostly (and old)
After sacrificing himself to save Wiccan in Agatha all the time episode 8, a much older Agatha appears to Billy as a ghost in Agatha all the time episode 9. With white hair and a new costume, Agatha looks a lot like the original, much older Agatha when she first appeared in the comics. While the new look is very accurate, it’s also quite ironic considering many thought the MCU would simply give Harkness the single white streak in her hair, reflecting Agatha’s current, most recent on-page design (which was done so that she’d better resemble Kathryn Hahn’s version).
2
“We would make a good team”
Mirrors Scarlet Witch’s 2016 comic book arc
Ghost Agatha’s proposal that she and Billy’s Wiccan team up feels like an intentional nod to 2016 Scarlet Witch run by James Robinson and Vanesa Del Rey. Not only was this run the first appearance of the real Witch’s Road (which is a real place in the comics), but it also featured Wanda walking down the Road alongside Agatha’s ghost, who served as your ally and spiritual guide.
