The Zombies game mode updated in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was well received by veterans and newcomers alike. Zombies is historically known for its secrets and tricky Easter eggs. Turning from little secrets into World at war‘s Der Riese to draw up commemorative missions covering series such as Black Ops 3Revelations, the Easter Eggs are a big part of the mode’s identityand Zombies fans expected nothing less from the latest maps in Black Ops 6: Liberty Falls and Terminus.
Following the game’s worldwide launch on October 25th, the community has spent a lot of time scouring every inch of these two maps to discover what they hide. Along with the standard Easter Egg quest, players can find bonus points, Perk-A-Cola power-ups, and more useful discoveries, but maps also don’t shy away from absurd offers. Liberty Falls offers a zombie pin bowling minigame, and Terminus offers a game of Whack-a-mole with some crabs. A particularly fun highlight, however, is the Easter Egg dance party in Liberty Falls.
Where to find the Easter egg in Liberty Falls
Go to the Binoculars in Riverside
To discover the Liberty Falls Dance Party Easter Egg, you must first unlock the door to the Riverside section of Liberty Falls. This is one of the first doors that can be purchased after spawning, so the Easter egg can be started very early for the game. To get the funniest result, it’s best to keep a large crowd of zombies. Once the path is open, the player must look towards the edge towards the Mystery Box space. Around each end of the Mystery Box are some binoculars.
Once purchased for 50 points, these binoculars can be used to help locate a dancing zombie standing on top of a rock (and luckily, the zombies won’t attack once the binoculars interaction begins). That alone is worth noting as a bizarrely fun secret, but there’s even more to this Easter egg. If the player keeps their gaze on the zombie long enough, they will be forcibly stopped from using the binoculars. The player then simply has to repeat exactly the same process on the other binoculars and look at the zombie.
What does the zombie Easter egg look like?
An Undead Flash Mob
After following these steps, an impromptu light show will begin on the zombie’s edge. Another tonal shift in violent gameplay may seem like the end of the unusual secret on its own, but the final “reward” for following these steps adds to the hilarity of the sequence. Repeating the steps will remove the binoculars and start some disco musicwhich occurs as bloodthirsty swarms of zombies stop chasing the player. Instead, they will all gather on a bus located near the binoculars, jump on it, and start a dance party.
This lasts for about half a minute and the zombies will not be aggressive while the music is playing. You can participate in the zombie celebration or simply enjoy it from afar. Besides being simple to start and fun to witness, there is some usefulness to the Easter egg, the player can catch their breath while the crowd stops attacking them momentarily. It’s the kind of inclusion that could help generate excitement for additional Zombies maps in the future, with plenty more secrets and Easter Eggs to discover in the future.
