Dragon Ball Daima confirms the two biggest obstacles for Vegeta and Piccolo to help Goku

Dragon Ball DAIMA showed viewers the Demon Realm, where Goku has his newest adventures alongside Shin and Glorio, but his greatest allies will still have to wait before joining too. With Goku having successfully reached the Third Demon World, several factors in his favor are noticeably absent for Vegeta and Piccolo, while Bulma repairs Supreme Kai’s ship to cross into the Demon Realm. Vegeta, Piccolo and Bulma face two specific obstacles: The entire traveling party must have Demon Realm features such as pointy ears and a PINthat they don’t even have Dragon Ball DAIMA.

The Demon Realm existed in Dragon Ball tradition for decades, but was never explored explicitly until DAIMAwith Demon King Gomah’s plot to consolidate power, including the dwindling desire that strips Goku and his friends of their power. Given its esoteric and sinister nature in previous Dragon Ball media, it makes sense that the Demon Realm isn’t especially easy to reach. But overcoming obstacles that weren’t in Goku’s path will be the first real challenge for Vegeta and Goku in Dragon Ball DAIMA.

In Dragon Ball DAIMA episode #3, Goku joins Shin aboard Glorio’s plane to go to the Demon Realm, where he meets Warp-sama, and the group must pass two main tests: all passengers must be demons and the pilot must present a PIN. These are non-negotiable requirements for entering the Demon Realm, with Warp-sama closely inspecting them, narrowly missing them while Shin disguises Goku’s ears to appear pointier. Although Piccolo’s ears come through, Vegeta does not possess Shin’s tricks, although they could use Kibito for similar effects once Bulma finishes her repairs on Dragon Ball DAIMA.

Although even Goku was able to get around the pointy-ears requirement to join the Demon Realm, Bulma, Vegeta and Piccolo do not have a PIN, which is only obtained after applying with Warp-sama. Although there is still the question of whether Panzy’s entry into the Dragon Ball DAIMA cast and if she can help the crew, there is no way for them to know the PIN. Vegeta or Piccolo could stubbornly brute force the four-digit code, and Shin’s telepathic attempt to pass it on had ambiguous results, but might end up helping.

But with Warp-sama, there is an additional, practically unwritten prerequisite in addition to the others: those who attempt to pass to and from the Demon Realm must not anger Warp-sama.
