Arcane’s second season is the end of the story, but not the end of the franchise
Vi and Jinx’s story may be over, but there are more League Of Legends characters to choose from
Relative ArcaneAfter the second season, the show’s creators outlined exactly what it will look like. It’s been known for some time that Vi and Jinx’s story will conclude in Arcane Season 2, explaining why Netflix’s upcoming installment is being marketed as the show’s final season. However, the world of League of Legends is expansive, and the characters that the original video game has that could be adapted, such as Vi and Jinx, are numerous. This explains why Arcane it is being treated as a gateway to future stories in this universe.
Speaking exclusively to Rant Screen, ArcaneCo-creator Christian Linke gave some insight into what this could mean. While Linke remained silent on the specific details of Arcane Season 2, he described what the plan is regarding the future League of Legends show:
“Arcane is just the first. We’re working on several new projects, a bunch of new stories from different regions and characters from our IP, and some of them are actually continuations of Arcane character stories.. So there are definitely some character stories we want to continue. So really, Arcane is the true first. This is the first rite we had to survive and figure out, “Can we do this?” And now, we can dream bigger…”
As is evident from Linke’s comments, Arcane is just the first stepping stone to greater League of Legends animated universe. Although the secret behind which the characters in League of Legends IP will be adapted going forward, Linke proves that the possibilities for this franchise going forward are practically endless. Some characters’ stories may end in Arcane Season 2, but others are just getting started, and connections made with acquaintances League of Legends the lore makes the future of the franchise exceedingly intriguing.
Arcane’s vision of the League Of Legends universe was too good not to continue
Perhaps the biggest reason Linke’s comments generate so much enthusiasm is the sheer quality of which Arcane was produced. The show’s first season received rave reviews from fans and critics alike, proving their opinion on the League of Legends universe to be one with extremely good character and story potential. Considering League of Legends is an online multiplayer battle arena with few story elements outside of the lore created as supplementary material, Arcane proved how great stories set in this world could be in the environment animated by this group of creators.

The main reason for ArcaneThe excellent reception was how well the creators adapted League of Legends tradition. Many of the story elements, characters, and locations have been mentioned in League of Legends stories, still Arcane shaped them into an incredible story of love, loss, family, class division, and violence, while also adding titular magical elements. Combine this with some of the most beautiful animation ever put to screen, fantastic voice acting, and a wider world begging to be explored, and it’s clear why. ArcaneThe universe is too epic not to continue.
What other League Of Legends stories can be told after Arcane Season 2
Many characters can be left open to post-arcane stories
After Arcane Season 2, there are many League of Legends stories that could be told. THE League of Legends characters in Arcane There are a lot of them and, without a doubt, there will be more news in the second season. That said, Linke’s comments may have already revealed what potential stories could come next Arcane. Linke mentioned that some of the characters already found in Arcane are being positioned for future stories, with one of the candidates being the Noxian warlord, Ambessa Medarda. Following the apparent death of her daughter Mel at the end of Season 1, Ambessa will have a larger role in Arcane season 2.
As such, Ambessa could be the gateway to future stories set in the kingdom of Noxus. Noxus is a brutal empire in the world of League of Legendsas proven by Ambessa’s cold and calculated nature in Season 1. If Ambessa survives the events of Arcane in season two, she could lead an exploration of her home country in future shows centering on League of Legends characters like Darius, Draven, Swain, Riven, and Katarina, to name just a few.
Vi and Jinx will be two characters from Arcane who likely won’t appear in future projects, as his story is an integral part of the show and will likely end with it.
Other possible spin-offs could be linked to the Jayce character. Although Jayce’s fate is uncertain as of Arcane At the end of the first season, a flashback to his childhood saw him saved by a wizard many theorized was the League of Legends Ryze’s character. This could allow for a more magical and fantastical show to be built around League of Legends characters like Ryze, differentiating future projects from the more grounded, class warfare-based story of Arcane.
Of course, there are several routes that are a continuation of Arcane could take that were configured in the show itself. Plus, the possibilities are almost endless. League of Legends has over 150 champions, each with their own overarching story that could fit into the world of Arcane. With this in mind, the real enthusiasm caused by Linke’s comments is clear, as ArcaneThe ending of will be the true beginning of an expanded franchise set in the brilliant world that was created.
