What John Boyega endorsing Finnpoe means for Star Wars

Boyega’s Star Wars support is promising

Finn and Poe Dameron in Star Wars The Force Awakens

The support for Finnpoe may not be anything new from Boyega, but it’s still promising to hear that he continues to support it even 5 years after the Star Wars Sequel trilogy has come to an end. Boyega pulled away from Star Wars yet The Rise of Skywalker Premiered, mostly because of the racist backlash he received from certain audiences over the years. To see him hug Star Wars Like this again, even subtle, is very exciting for those hoping to see Boyega and Finn return to the franchiseEspecially in Rey’s upcoming New Jedi Order movie.

At this point, Finnpoe is pretty much Star Wars canon

Both the actors played their roles like this

The Star Wars Sequel Trilogy especially has always seemed like it couldn’t agree on what romantic relationships, if any, it wanted to pursue, from potential for Finnrey in The Force Awakens To Reylo and Finnrose in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Finpoe, however, is the most universal of them allOne that certainly tracks from the trilogy’s first movie to its last. It is consistent, as the relationship between Finn and Poe is always a constant presence, and it certainly reaches new heights in The Rise of Skywalker with Poe recruiting Finn as his co-general of the resistance.

The most logical argument for FinnPoe’s canon status is that both Boyega and Isaac played Finn and Po’s relationship that way, specifically in The Rise of Skywalker. Although they were unsuccessful in convincing the creative team to let them fully show that Finnpoe was real, Both actors embodied this idea in their performancesAs they have since revealed in interviews and other discussions about Star Wars. Hopefully, Boyega’s more recent endorsement means that Star Wars Haven’t seen the last of Finn and Poe together, and that their story will continue in future projects.
