Tigerlily already had two children from her previous marriage when she met Adnan. Tigerlily was married twice and was 41 years old while Adnan was 22 years old. They met on Instagram and started discussing marriage within 11 days. Adnan had Tigerlily go to Jordan and marry him on the first day. She mentioned that she still needs to wear hand-painted prescription contact lenses. Irlen syndrome, also known as scotopic sensitivity syndrome, is a medical condition of disordered visual processing that can supposedly be treated with the use of colored lenses. It affects the brain's ability to process visual information and, in most cases, is hereditary.

Tigerlily didn't mention that she had health problems before. This is the first time she has spoken about having Irlen syndrome.
