Neither Natalie nor Mike loved each other. He had fallen in love with her after her constant complaints and accusations of cheating on her.

Natalie was still married to Mike when she met Josh. That was the reason why Josh refused to acknowledge her as his girlfriend. Natalie still stayed with him and used his money to finance her lavish lifestyle. When Mike got tired of Natalie taking him out, he decided to serve her with divorce papers. Mike also met a woman he wanted to marry and couldn't do so as Natalie was still his legal wife. In July 2024, Mike met a fan in Cancun and told them that Natalie hadn't signed the papers yet as she was worried about her future in the U.S.
