Since losing weight, the Slatons are all determined to lead a more active lifestyle, wanting to explore the world that was previously restricted to them. They were enjoying your new freedom and celebrating each new milestonelike going on vacation with the Slaton family in Florida.

When 1000 Pound Sisters premiered in 2020, Amy and her husband, Michael Halterman, were newlyweds who seemed made for each other. Michael was a fan favorite because he always seemed to be by Amy's side and to the rest of his family. Amy always dreamed of being a mother, but she was too heavy to get pregnant, let alone carry a healthy baby to term.

After undergoing weight loss surgery, Amy quickly had two healthy boys, Gage and Glenn Halterman.

Unfortunately, Amy's marriage to Michael didn't last long. Their once happy marriage fell apart after their two children were born. Amy was thrilled to care for two young children and I didn't feel like Michael wasn't supportive enough. After four years of marriage and two children together, Amy and Michael announced their divorce in 2023.

Unlike her other siblings, who have struggled with their weight their entire lives, 43-year-old Amanda has always been the thin one. It was only after getting married and having children that she gained weight. Amanda decided to have bariatric surgery in March 2023. This was not Amanda's first weight loss operation.
