It has been more than five years since the last A Chicago crossover event, meaning the shows’ casts changed drastically and the 2025 crossover has the opportunity to bring together countless new duos. The NBC franchise consists of three series – Chicago Fire, Chicago Police, and Chicago Middle. Each procedural drama has released 10 or more seasons and produced nearly 700 episodes as a collective. So, it’s safe to say that the A Chicago universe has been a huge success for the network. Part of the reason it’s so popular is its ability to crossover.
THE A Chicago All TV shows will return on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, with Chicago Middle season 10, episode 9 at 8pm ET, Chicago Fire season 13, episode 9, airing at 9 p.m. ET, and Chicago Police season 12, episode 9 at 10pm ET.
Chicago Fire, Chicago Police, and Chicago Middle have joined forces on several occasions, whether for a big three-part event or a quick cameo. The shows have undoubtedly benefited from these crossovers over the years, as they introduce fans of one series to another and continue to establish the fictional universe. However, the last A Chicago The franchise crossover took place five years ago (“Infection” in 2019). The lack of these events is mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has resulted in productions enacting strict protocols. The good news is that the frustrating phase will end with the A Chicago three-way crossover in 2025.

Voight and Pascal
Chicago Police and Chicago Fire
One of the most obvious pairings we’re dying to see is Chef Dom Pascal from Chicago Fire and Sergeant Hank Voight of Chicago Police. Pascal and Voight have similar personalities (rude, no-nonsense, willing to get their hands dirty, etc.) and they will either get along very well or be mortal enemies. Each option would be welcome, as both would result in an intriguing dynamic for the crossover.
Pascal and Voight may be too similar to be friends, which is ironic but also a very real possibility. It’s always interesting (and sometimes frustrating) to see bosses from different A Chicago TV shows clash, and that could be the case with the 2025 crossover event. After all, Pascal is the new guy, and Voight may not like Dermot Mulroney’s character taking charge during any crisis that firefighters, police officers and doctors face.
7
Kylie and Kiana
Chicago Fire and Chicago Police
Selling two of A Chicago The leads’ interaction would undoubtedly be exciting, but it would also be exciting to watch two of the franchise’s newest characters become a duo. Katelynn Shennett joined the Chicago Fire cast in season 8, while Toya Turner became a Chicago Police series regular in season 12. Shennett’s character, Kylie Estevez has been a recurring player ever since, but she has officially joined Firehouse 51 after Chief Pascal fired Jack Damon Chicago Fire season 13. Turner’s Kiana Cook is a cop who became Hailey Upton’s replacement in Chicago Police season 12.
As they are technically novices in their respective fields, Kylie and Kiana could bond over their similar freshman status. Both are young, determined and strong. Who wouldn’t want to see Kylie and Kiana interacting during 2025? A Chicago three way intersection? The story of the upcoming event supposedly (by TV Line) revolves around the explosion of an office building, which easily opens the door for many new duos, including Kylie and Kiana.
6
Novak and Frost
Chicago Fire and Chicago Med
After Jack Damon’s departure from Firehouse 51 in Chicago Fire season 13, Lyla Novak is without a love interest. Kelly Severide’s half-brother was never more than someone Novak flirted with, and she deserves some love in her life (especially after the traumatizing fall finale). Hopefully, Chicago Fire Season 13 isn’t setting up a romance between Novak and Chief Pascal, and the paramedic may know someone his own age who isn’t married or his superior. The good news is that Chicago Middle has the right person for Novak – Dr. John Frost.
Only time will tell if Frost and Novak will cross paths during the crossover, but his work makes the introduction easier.
The next A Chicago The three-part event presents the perfect opportunity to establish another inter-show romance. Many couples consist of characters from other shows (such as Chicago FireMouch and Chicago Police(Trudy Platt), and it’s time for a new one. Darren Barnet has chemistry with every actor he works with. So, there’s no doubt that his character and Novak can spark some chemistry between them. Only time will tell if Frost and Novak will cross paths during the crossover, but his work makes the introduction easier.

Torres and Ripley
Chicago PD and Chicago Med
A pairing of Dante Torres and Dr. Mitch Ripley may be unlikely, But that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t make sense. Both characters have disturbing pasts they could relate to and are relatively new to their respective jobs. Although it may be unexpected, Chicago Policeof Torres and Chicago MiddleRipley can create a fascinating dynamic. After all, some of TV’s most iconic friendships have been developed between the most unexpected pairings.

2025 A Chicago The crossover event allows writers and producers to form whatever ensemble they want. So this could be the only moment to establish friendship between Torres and Ripley. After the fall finals of Chicago Police and Chicago Middlethis type of relationship could be exactly what both characters need.

Carver and Ruzek
Chicago Fire and Chicago Police
Sam Carver has been through a lot in Chicago Fire season 13, and he could use some advice from someone who’s been in his shoes. Chicago PoliceAdam Ruzek knows what it’s like to fall in love with a co-worker. He also understands how quickly this relationship can end. So maybe Carver could learn a thing or two from Ruzek during the next Once Chicago three-part crossover.

Of course, Ruzek and Burgess are stronger than ever in Chicago Police season 12, but it took them a long time to get there. Hopefully Carver won’t have the same experience with Violet Mikami with some guidance from Ruzek. The cop can set Carver straight and get him on the right track regarding his slow-moving romance with Violet. Carver can learn from Ruzek’s mistakes, and fans won’t have to wait as long for Carver and Violet to become endgame like they did for Ruzek and Burgess in Chicago Police.
3
Violet and Lenox
Chicago Fire and Chicago Med
Speaking of Violet, a meeting between Chicago Fire character from the 13th season and one of the Chicago MiddleThe country’s newest doctors could be quite entertaining. Unlike most other hopefuls A Chicago doubles, Violet and Dr. Caitlin Lenox probably wouldn’t get along. Their set may be more like a rivalry than a friendship.
It would also make sense to [Violet and Lenox] cross paths, as Lenox is the (now only) head of the emergency room at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, and Violet is a paramedic who often ends up in that same emergency room.
Both A Chicago the characters are stubborn, passionate, and experts in their respective fields. However, Violet arguably gets in touch with her emotions more often than Lenox ever did. For that reason alone, watching Violet and Lenox together on screen would be quite interesting. It would also make sense for their paths to cross, as Lenox is the (now only) head of the emergency room at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, and Violet is a paramedic who often ends up in the same emergency room.
2
Asher and Burgess
Chicago Med and Chicago PD
Considering that it is easy to Chicago Fire characters (especially the paramedics) to interact with those in Chicago Middle, It’s a little more difficult for Chicago Police characters to form strong bonds with Gaffney’s doctors and nurses (unless they are brothers). But a three-part crossover event certainly helps. Perhaps this will allow Dr. Hannah Asher and Detective Kim Burgess to cross paths in A Chicago universe.
Although it appears that Asher has worked at Gaffney for a long time, Jessy Schram first appeared in a Chicago Middle season 5 episode 2020, before the last A Chicago crossing. So Asher has never been a part of one before, and it will be intriguing to see her bond with characters from other shows, like Burgess. It’s easy to imagine Asher and Burgess becoming friends and meeting up for the occasional beer at Molly’s after saving the town in the 2025 crossover.
1
Pascal and Goodwin
Chicago Fire and Chicago Med
Similar to the possible pairing of Chief Pascal and Voight, a set including Chef Pascal and Sharon Goodwin at A Chicago crossover would also be exciting. Of course, Goodwin will have to survive his deadly pursuer in Chicago Middle Season 10 first. But there’s no doubt she’ll make it out alive (despite the fall finale’s gripping cliffhanger).
Maybe Chief Pascal, Goodwin, and Voight will share a scene or two during 2025 A Chicago crossover, which would be the best scenario for everyone involved.
Chief Pascal and Goodwin could easily butt heads in the next A Chicago event in three parts. They may not have much in common unlike Chief Pascal and Voight, making it easier for them to disagree. Maybe Chief Pascal, Goodwin, and Voight will share a scene or two during 2025 A Chicago crossover, which would be the best scenario for everyone involved.
