8-minute roast of Doctor Doom is a must-see for Robert Downey Jr.

Doctor Doom is coming soon Marvel Cinematic Universe Robert Downey Jr.’s role in Avengers: Judgment Dayand a new YouTube video may suggest a great direction for the film. After difficult Avengers problems with Kang the Conqueror, The introduction of Doctor Doom hopes to unite stories in the MCU and finish the saga of the Multiverse with dignity. Following Toby Kebbell and Julian McMahon’s previous portrayals of the character, Robert Downey Jr. needs to highlight his version of the villain.

One way to do this is as shown in the new video Straight Outta Latveria, a page described as “Victor von Doom’s personal channel” is to focus more deeply on the antagonistic relationship between Victor and Reed Richards. In the video, the actor is dressed as a villain in a metal mask and rants about all the terrible things Reed Richards has done. These in-depth details are taken from Marvel Comics history and contain much of what is known about the character.

Video titled “Why I Don’t Like Reed Richards and You Shouldn’t Too” features a bitter but brilliant villain describing his rivalry with Reed Richards. Having this human connection is integral to the villain’s journey and helps explain his motivations. Victor is a brilliant man, but he also has very human flaws. This is well expressed in this video, where his jealousy, although childish at times, comes from understandable sources.

What does the Doctor Doom video mean for the MCU?

The MCU’s Doctor Doom needs to work closely with the Fantastic Four

The human connection between Doctor Doom and Reed Richards could be important for the MCU to define the villain’s motivations and help him better connect to the larger universe. Following the casting of Robert Downey Jr.’s character as Tony Stark, for this Victor von Doom, the studio may have been looking to forge ties with Iron Man rather than the Fantastic Four.. This goes against comic book history, where Doctor Doom has historically been deeply involved with the Fantastic Four.

Doctor Doom could debut in Fantastic Four: First Stepsand this would be important for the Universe. Creating multiverse conflicts through the rivalry between Victor and Pedro Pascal’s Reed would be a great way to add human stakes to a larger story. Following this video, the MCU can highlight the relationship between the two characters and address the jealousy, bitterness, and rage that can accompany it all.

Our take on the Doctor Doom video

The relationship between Victor and Reed is important, but less so in an Avengers movie.

The video is a fun and exciting look at the Doctor Doom character as he appears in the Marvel comics, and suggests some important aspects of the character to consider in the MCU. However, I can’t help but feel that Doctor Doom’s connection to Reed in the MCU may not be as important here. The villain is going to fight the Avengers, not just the Fantastic Four. These human connections must be made in Marvel Cinematic Universebut the franchise also needs to remember that this conflict is much bigger than just Victor and Reed.
