Includes potential SPOILERS for the third season of The Ring of Power, based on events from J. R. R. Tolkien’s story.
Amazon Prime Video Rings of Power the series is so extensive that Each season will focus on different characters, raising questions about who will take center stage in season three.. Lord of the Rings The prequel show introduces viewers to the world of Middle-earth during the Second Age, thousands of years before the events of the original novel trilogy. Because the series explores such a broad period of history, it is forced to wander between different characters, often switching between different focuses from episode to episode.
Rings of Power The first season mainly follows Galadriel on her journey to Númenor and her introduction and eventual quarrel with Halbrand or Sauron. Likewise, the main character of the second season was Celebrimborwho spent most of eight episodes fighting Sauron, working together to create the rings of the Dwarves and Men. With the death of Celebrimbor Rings of Power With the ending of Season 2 and Season 3 opening up a lot of new storylines, it will be interesting to see who takes on the role of the show’s new spotlight. There are many outstanding options.

Pharazon
Ar-Pharazôn is next in line for Sauron’s manipulations Pharazon wouldn’t be as sympathetic as Celebrimbor, but exploring how his choices led to one of Arda’s greatest disasters would be fascinating.
Ar-Pharazôn, who recently usurped the kingdom of Numenor and became the real villain, is an unlikely but interesting character who could potentially take center stage in the film. Rings of Power Season 3. For now the series follows the format of looking at the main characters corrupted by Sauron. This means that there is virtually no one better than the man to be tricked into causing a catastrophic event that will destroy his entire kingdom. Pharazon wouldn’t be as sympathetic as Celebrimbor, but exploring how his choices led to one of Arda’s greatest disasters would be fascinating.

Currently, Númenor is divided after the death of Tar-Palantir, and many have decided to support Pharazon. He represents a faction of Númenóreans who are ungrateful for the extended lifespan granted to them by the Valar, instead considering themselves worthy of immortality like the Elves. Sauron will play on this by forcing his enemies to wage war on each other, potentially leading to the fall of Númenor as early as Season 3. Seeing Pharazon as the main character making all the mistakes and succumbing to all the manipulations of Sauron, the series can turn into a darkly mesmerizing place..

Elrond
In the second season, Rivendell will become a future elven settlement
If Rings of Power doesn’t want to repeat the death and destruction of Season 2 as the central narrative, Elrond could be an interesting character to be the main protagonist. He was one of the most important characters in the series in both seasons, but in the second season he underwent significant growth and acceptance from his friends and allies, which taught him to be more trusting. When the elves found themselves in the valley that would become Rivendell, Season 3 could be the perfect time to show Elrond’s transformation into the character viewers know from the films..
Elrond is an immortal being, but he is essentially a much younger and naive version of the character shown in Hobbit And Lord of the Rings. Focusing on Elrond’s growth as a leader as he lays the foundation for Rivendell. and the future of his people could be exciting. If Rings of Power moves the conflict between Sauron and Númenor into the fourth season, still focusing on the war between the orcs and the elves as the Dark Lord pushes his forces beyond Eregion, Elrond could be the ideal protagonist.

Durin IV
The new King Durin will fight for his throne
Given the death of King Durin III and the relative absence of dwarves during this period of Tolkien’s history, creating storylines for them may prove challenging later on. The alliance of elves and dwarves flourished in season two as the latter arrived in Eregion to save the day, albeit a little late. But Rings of Power will have to demonstrate how the Dwarves ultimately refuse to participate in the Last Alliance of Elves and Men.probably due to the fact that the rings caused enormous greed among their leadership, even to the point of self-destruction.
Durin’s rule would be contested by relatives and threats from other Dwarves, creating Game of Thrones– like a story
Durin IV is now king, and although he most likely will not have a direct relationship with Sauron, The third season may demonstrate how the already given out rings of the dwarves continue to cause the self-explosion of their race.. The ending of season two already implies that Durin’s rule will be challenged by relatives and threats from other dwarves, creating Game of ThronesFurther storytelling like this can only lead to a worsening of Khazad-dum’s condition.

Isildur
Isildur will return to another Númenor
Isildur is an extremely important character in Tolkien’s story who has remained largely unexplored in the series. He saw some growth in Season 2, but it’s still hard to believe that he’s the same character who will one day rise up and kill Sauron in battle. As Isildur returns to Númenor during the coming period of civil strife, he will have enough time to mature and become the future leader of Gondoralong with his father and brother.
Isildur could be an interesting character to watch going forward, as he will be the only major character in the thick of the conflict in Númenor to actually survive the Fall. He’ll certainly support Miriel in trying to keep power in Numenor out of the hands of Pharazon and Sauron by proxy, and he’ll also play a crucial role in bringing Earian back to the side of the good guys before everything self-destructs. Now that she understands that he is alive, her motivation to support Pharazon will be zero at all.

Gandalf
The stranger finally has a name
Now that he has finally been named, Gandalf has become another character in Rings of Power whose narrative for the next three seasons is a huge question mark. Lord of the Rings fans know that he plays an important role in leading the world of Men in the War of the Ring, but he is not known for his role in the War of the Last Alliance. With this in mind, the series still establishes Gandalf’s goal in Middle-earth as defeating Sauron..

With a plot Rings of Power Keeping in mind that Gandalf is directly sent by the Valar to fight Sauron, he becomes the most important protagonist of the series. Looks like he still has some work to do in Rune – defeat the Dark Wizard. However, it is most likely that his role in future seasons will be to unite the kingdoms of Elves and Men, bringing together the likes of Gil-galad and Elendil to defeat Sauron.as he does with Aragorn in the Third Age.
3
Sauron
Sauron’s forces are still in Eriador
Although Celebrimbor was the main character of the second season, Sauron was undoubtedly one of the most central and compelling characters. Charlie Vickers’ portrayal of Annatar earned the character respect and widespread curiosity. in a way that was not in the original Lord of the Rings films, and the TV adaptation will likely want to explore it further with similar fame. Given the lore, Sauron appears to have two options: continue to lead his forces into Eriador, or return to Mordor and gain a foothold.
With Adar gone, Sauron really has no resistance in Mordor, and while watching him go back there to play city builder sounds fun, it might have been more interesting to see him continue to directly fight the Elves and Númenóreans. Continuing his conquests seems the best way to provoke Númenor to attack him in Middle-earth, which will be crucial to their eventual downfall. If Sauron continues to invade Eriador, it could allow the successful Season 2 dynamic between him and the Elves to continue.although now from his point of view as the leader of the orcs.
2
Elendil
The latest alliance should soon begin to form
Like Isildur, Elendil a hugely important Tolkien character who needs more screen time let’s go forward. He was barely in Season 2, which means upcoming seasons will be Rings of Power an opportunity to sell him as one of the greatest heroes of the Second Age, a Númenórean strong enough to take on Sauron in a sword fight and be the highlight of the show. As Elendil leaves the Númenórean capital to find his son and join forces, Pharazon could become the main antagonist of season three.
Knowing that the Fall of Númenor is coming makes Elendil’s mission next season somewhat futile, but his defeat will still be crucial to the story. Elendil needs to lose in Númenor in order to establish powerful populations in Middle-earth in preparation for the Last Alliance and the founding of Gondor. Over the next few seasons, his storytelling will be vital to creating recognition among Middle-earth movie and film audiences. Lord of the Rings books.
1
Miriel
Miriel will do everything she can to prevent the fall of Numenor
Miriel is an ideal candidate for the role of the main character in Rings of Power season three if the Fall of Númenor becomes the central storyline of the season. She was remained in Numenor to politically fight Ar-Pharazon, who would later be manipulated by Sauron.putting her in a situation similar to Celebrimbor, albeit with altered dynamics. Her greatest threat is not Sauron himself, but the man who took power from her and is quickly succumbing to Sauron’s will.
In the books, Ar-Pharazôn forces Miriel to marry, which may be possible now that Elendil is out of the picture. With her eventual death in the Fall, Rings of Power season three could made Miriel a phenomenal tragic hero, transforming her from a relatively interesting supporting character into one of the series’ most memorable protagonists. as she desperately tries to save her kingdom before it is completely destroyed.
