Paramount Network's neo-Western drama TV show, created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, chronicles the lives of the Dutton family, owners of the largest ranch in Montana. Throughout yellow stoneOver the five seasons, the Duttons have been through many ups and downs, and in Season 5, Part 2, they bounced back after John Dutton's death, fought to save the ranch from big corporations, and dealt with interfamily drama.
Based on the events of that hour, Sheridan wrote yellow stone Season 5, episode 14 with the intention of serving as a series finale. During the finale, Kayce discovers a way to save the ranch, the Duttons bury their patriarch, Beth seeks revenge, and everyone's lives go in different directions as they leave the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch. Maybe some might not have liked the way things played out in the show's final season, but yellow stoneThe last episode of at least wraps up several stories and character arcs.

Mo and members of Broken Rock sabotage the pipeline
Yellowstone opens with broken rocks trying to save its land
At the beginning of yellow stone Season 5, Episode 14 on Paramount Network, Mo and other members of the Broken Rock Reservation band together to sabotage the pipeline. As many viewers will remember, the pipeline would pass through their land, destroying it. So, the yellow stone The characters in Season 5, Part 2 take matters into their own hands to save their home during 'Life Is a Promise,' and the only way to do so is through illegal affairs.
During the night, Mo and the others ride to the site where the pipeline would be built in yellow stone season 5. They take the materials that would be used to build the gas pipeline (e.g. pipes) and throw them into the water. Kayce sells ranch to Rainwater and Broken Rock Reservation
The only way to save Yellowstone is to donate it
As teased by Beth and Kayce's final scene at the end of yellow stone Season 5, Episode 13, Kayce's plan to save the ranch includes Chief Rainwater and the Broken Rock Reservation in episode 14. He invites Chief Rainwater and Mo to his family's home. There, Kayce offers to sell Yellowstone Dutton Ranch to them for $1.25 per acre, which is what it cost when the Duttons first took him from the tribe over a hundred years ago.
So, although the Dutton family loses the farm, they leave it in the hands of those who will care for it; the people who were there first.
The Duttons can't pay the ranch's inheritance tax, nor can the people of Broken Rock. Only large corporations can. However, Kayce finds a way to get around the tax selling the ranch for much less than it's worth. The tax would be based on what someone paid for the farm, meaning it would decrease significantly after it is sold in the yellow stone end of the series.
Kayce doesn't want the land to fall into the hands of greedy corporations who want to transform it into subdivisions, resorts, shopping centers, airports, etc. So, although the Dutton family loses the farm, they leave it in the hands of those who will care for it; the people who were there first.

The Duttons and the Bury John Cowboys
Yellowstone finally says goodbye to Kevin Costner's character
After John's death in yellow stone In the Season 5, Part 2 premiere, Beth and Kayce worked hard to get justice for their father. Kayce burst into the medical examiner's office in episode 11 and demanded that she look at John's body again because he knew that the cause of his father's death was not suicide. Luke Grimes' character ended up being successful, meaning the family could recover John's body. The coroner finally releases the Dutton family patriarch to Beth and Kayce in episode 14, and they decide to have a funeral for him.

Beth only wants people close to John to attend the funeral in yellow stone season 5, episode 14. Then, his family (including Beth, Rip, Kayce, Monica and Tate), the ranch hands (Ryan, Lloyd, Teeter, Walker, etc.), Lynelle and Chief Rainwater honor John at the Dutton cemetery. family. Beth kills Jamie
Beth takes revenge for John's murder
Perhaps one of the biggest (and most predictable) moments of the finale is Jamie's death. For months, many believed that Jamie was the character most likely to die yellow stone Season 5, Part 2, and they're right. During the final hour of the show, Beth is out for blood. She knows Jamie played a role in her father's murder and wants his head on a stick. Beth grabs bear spray and a knife and waits for Jamie to return home after his press conference, where he condemns John's death. However, none of Jamie's political comebacks matter, because he only has minutes to live when Beth attacks him.
Beth and Jamie's Dutton family war has been brewing for years and finally comes to a head in the finale. Beth first hits Jamie in the eyes with the bear spray. However, he manages to get the upper hand and tries to choke his sister (after she tells him that they sold the ranch to Chief Rainwater, enraging the Montana Attorney General). Fortunately for Beth, Rip breaks in and saves his wife. Rip holds Jamie still while Beth gets up, takes the knife and stabs Jamie in the stomach. making him look into her eyes as he takes his last breath.

Beth, Rip and Lloyd cover up Jamie's death
Rip and Lloyd take Jamie to the train station
To no one's surprise, Beth has a plan to cover up Jamie's death before she kills him. yellow stone Season 5, episode 14. She lets him beat her, and after Jamie dies, she instructs Rip to get rid of the body and the car – Beth will take care of the rest. She calls 9-1-1 and tells the police that Jamie attacked her before running away. Beth also informs the cops that Jamie was having an affair with Sarah Atwood and that Sarah hired hitmen to kill John. The paramedics take Beth to the hospital, where she recovers and basks in the glory of her victory.
Rip helps Beth's story be convincing by enlisting Lloyd's help in getting Jamie to the train station in yellow stone Season 5, Episode 14. They dump Jamie's body where no one will find it. Then, Rip and Floyd take Jamie's car to Idaho, where they set it on fire and leave it for the police to find. So, to everyone but the Duttons, it appears that Jamie assaulted his sister before running away, never to be found again. However, Jamie is buried alongside other people who harmed the Dutton family.

Ranch workers depart Yellowstone
Everyone goes their separate ways after Kayce sells the ranch
After Kayce sells the ranch to Chief Rainwater and his tribe, fulfilling the prophecy of 1883its workers are forced to move on with their lives. Rip offers Lloyd a job, but the older man refuses. If Lloyd can't work at Yellowstone, then he doesn't want to work at all. Meanwhile, Ryan decides to take some time off and be free for a while. He tracks Abby down at one of her shows and convinces her to take him back, giving Ryan his happy ending.
Still dealing with Colby's death in yellow stone Season 5, Episode 12, Teeter decides to move away from Montana. She asks Travis for a job (which she probably instantly regrets, given Travis' rude comments about her accent and harsh leadership) at the Bosque Ranch in Texas. So, Teeter joins Jimmy to work for Taylor Sheridan's yellow stone paper. Just like that, the crew of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch was disbanded.

Kayce and her family maintain their home in East Camp
Kayce makes a deal with Chief Rainwater
By striking a deal with Chief Rainwater over ownership of the ranch, Kayce ensures that he and his family will keep their home and land in East Camp during the yellow stone end. Kayce, Monica and Tate finally built a house and don't want to leave it. Happily, Chief Rainwater agrees to the condition and Kayce is finally free.
Kayce takes Tate with him to an auction during the last yellow stone episode, where they buy some cattle. The youngest Dutton brother wants to make a name for himself outside of his family (i.e. John, Beth, etc.), which starts with Kayce building your own ranch from scratch. It's unclear whether Luke Grimes will appear in the yellow stone spinoff with Beth and Rip or the rumors yellow stone Season 6, but Kayce's story feels complete by the end of Season 5.

Beth and Rip buy a ranch in Dillon
Carter moves into new house with Beth and Rip in Yellowstone season 5 finale
As for Beth and Rip, the couple also decides to open a new ranch in yellow stone Season 5, episode 14. Beth buys a property in Dillon, Montana, which is about two hours from Yellowstone and where the airport would be built. Beth and Rip want to stay away from tourists, but they also want to bring Carter with them. So they do.

After leaving Yellowstone, Beth, Rip, and Carter move into their home in Dillon at the end of the finale and begin their new lives. However, this is not the end of their story. Beth and Rip are confirmed to return for a yellow stone spinoff (although Finn Little's involvement as Carter is known).
