Gary King has become a problematic figure in Sailing yacht below deck over the years, but fortunately, there are several highlights Below Deck franchise cast members who could replace him in season 6. As a South African yachtsman with years of experience, Gary has certainly proven himself to be a capable leader aboard Parsifal III. However, his personal problems cast a shadow over his professional prestige in Sailing yacht below deck season 5.
Gary was accused of sexual misconduct while filming the previous season of Sailing yacht below deck by former Bravo production staffer Samantha Suarez. While escorting a drunk Gary back to his room as requested by the camera crew, Gary allegedly tried to trap Samantha in her room, but she managed to escape. Gary denied all allegations and Bravo cleared him of any wrongdoing. However, it is still time to replace Gary. Here's who could be a good fit.

Nathan Gallagher
Below Deck Mediterranean
Nathan Gallagher comes to mind as Gary's replacement in Sailing yacht below deck season 6. Although he doesn't have the same experience, he has proven himself to be an intelligent, caring, and hard worker in Below Deck Mediterranean season 9. Even when Joe Bradley was promoted to Lead Deckhand, Nathan stood out as one of the most competent cast members. He would have been a better lead sailor than Joe, who was more focused on his boats with Elena “Ellie” Dubaich and Bri Muller.
Nathan didn't let his boatman with Gael Cameron distract him from his duties. Although he spent half the season pining for her, he remained professional while working the deck. His ability to maintain a high level of productivity in the midst of personal issues is a good sign and something Gary has never been able to do.

Alex Propson
Sailing yacht below deck
Alex Propson was a sailor on Sailing yacht below deck Season 4, and he could be a good replacement for Gary if he wasn't asked to return next season. Taking someone from Sailing yacht below deck could be a good idea given the unique structure of the Parsifal III, which is different from the typical yacht seen in Below Deck or Below Deck Mediterranean. Additionally, Alex is already in a relationship with Captain Glenn Shephardmeaning he could integrate into the crew more easily.
While some of the other cast members in Sailing yacht below deck Leaning toward drama, Alex's reserved personality and constant work ethic helped balance everyone out. He developed friendly relationships with team members and avoided the kind of personal involvement that caused friction among others on the show. Because of his laid-back attitude, he is a good choice to replace the troubled Gary.

Lucas Brunton
Below Deck, Below Deck + Below Deck Mediterranean
Luka Brunton has had a remarkable run with the franchise, appearing in multiple seasons, which could make him a solid choice to replace Gary. Initially introduced in Below Deck In Season 2 as Deckhand Leader, he replaced Adam Kodra after being rightfully fired. Luka quickly impressed with his professionalism and friendly demeanor. However, his time there was not without drama. He teased a boat with stew Jaimee Neale, even kissing her during a crew night out, despite her ongoing relationship with Culver Bradbury.
Luka later transitioned to Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8, initially taking on the role of temporary foreman following the departure of Ruan Irving. Captain Sandy Yawn later promoted him to quartermaster, recognizing his leadership abilities. Because of his varied roles and consummate professionalism, Luka could be the right choice to replace Gary after all his bad behavior in Sailing yacht below deck.

Paget Berry
Sailing yacht below deck
Paget Berry was the first mate back Sailing yacht below deck season 1, and now might be the opportune time to bring him back for the next season. Known for his professionalism, he has also faced some drama due to his relationship with Ciara Duggan. The couple, who had worked together for years, were tested when crewmate Georgia Grobler expressed feelings for Paget. Despite his loyalty to Ciara, Paget's playful interactions with Georgia were inappropriate and distracted him from his duties.
Paget said he would not return to Below Deck Sailing Yacht, but Captain Glenn could convince him if there was no one else.
Paget may also have a dramatic streak and a tendency to flirt, but it's nothing compared to Gary's constant problems. He wouldn't get himself into a situation like that with Ciara and Georgia again. Given his work ethic and experience, he is the right choice to replace Gary in the Sailing yacht below deck 6th season.
4
Sidney Zaruba
Sailing yacht below deck
Sydney Zaruba, sailor of the Sailing yacht below deck season two could be an interesting replacement for Gary, given his past with the troubled first mate. Sydney is best known for her love triangle with Gary and teammate Alli Dore, which sparked much of the season's tension. She had a one-night stand with Gary earlier in the season, only for him to turn his attention to Alli. Understandably, Sydney was not pleased with this development.

Sydney later expressed regret for her actions during the season, recognizing that his behavior stemmed from feeling hurt and humiliated by Gary. Under different circumstances, she and Alli probably could have been friends. She didn't regret the affair with Gary, but Sydney regretted the way she handled it. After leaving the show, Sydney moved on. However, she could be considered to replace Gary if she decides to return to the franchise.
3
Kelsie Goglia
Sailing yacht below deck
Kelsie Goglia went unnoticed but stood out as a calming presence aboard the Parsifal III in Sailing yacht below deck. Known for her laid-back attitude, sharp wit, and unfussy presence, Kelsie brought some much-needed balance to the show. Her hilarious one-liners and genuine help stood out, like when she offered crazy-making advice to Gabriela Barragan during a difficult time of crew conflicts involving the troubled Ashley.
Kelsie and Daisy were very closeso the chief stew would probably be pleased to welcome her back to the Sailing yacht below deck season 6. Daisy is one of the main cast members, so she would probably put in a good word for Kelsie if she were considered for the cast. It may be one of the least problematic Below Deck cast members of all time. Even off camera, she maintained friendships with crew members like Ashley and chef Marcos Spaziani.
2
Keith Allen
Sailing yacht below deck
There may be only two additional sailors aboard Parsifal III at Sailing yacht below deckbut Keith Allen proved during Season 5 to be a competent, calm, and relatively drama-free sailor as the show's deckhand. Gary's antics make him an inconsistent figure, especially with his drunken exploits, and Emma was so bad at her job that Captain Glenn had to fire her. However, Keith remains focused on his work. He has a potential connection with Daisy, but refuses to act unprofessionally toward Danni Warren after she reached out to him.
Keith doesn't have as much experience as Gary, but he could learn quickly and become a benevolent leader on board. In the event of Gary's firing, Captain Glenn could take him under his wing between seasons to ensure he is ready for first mate responsibilities. Given his performance so far, Keith could be one of the best choices.
1
Chase Lemacks
Sailing yacht below deck
Chase Lemacks returned to Sailing yacht below deck Season 5, and he could come to Gary's job if he exceeds expectations and Gary remains drunk. After Emma was fired, Chase was brought back as a deckhand, but claimed to be a changed man. He plans to approach his job differently this season, flying under Gary's radar but doing whatever he wants behind his back.
Despite your efforts to avoid conflict, Chase is set to become a dramatic figure in the upcoming episodes. Diana, who is shyer, is interested in Chase. However, Danni, who seeks a romantic connection with any man she meets, is more extroverted and openly flirts with Chase. Daisy and Gary were less enthusiastic about his return, but even Gary acknowledged that he was a good worker. Whatever shenanigans he gets into are sure to pale in comparison to Gary's track record in Sailing yacht below deck.
