now has a digital release after years of being unavailable for purchase or rental online. Directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland, the British horror film stars Cillian Murphy as Jim, a survivor who traverses a post-apocalyptic London overrun by people infected by the Rage virus. Despite being a critical and commercial success (and a sequel released in 2007), the original film has been very difficult to watch online. With 28 years laterWith the release date already on the horizon, some took to social media to complain about the lack of availability of the original film.
Sony Images now reveals that 28 days later will once again be available to rent and purchase on VOD starting Wednesday, December 18, 2024. The announcement follows the launch of a website in recent weeks confirming that the film would return to digital stores, offering users the ability to sign up to receive updates. It's not yet clear if or when the film will make its way to a streaming service. Check out Sony's announcement post on the X below:
