While most collectors’ current fixation seems to be on the sixth generation of games, some excellent seventh generation games have seen huge price increases in recent years. Both avid collectors and people who simply want to relive some of the nostalgia of the past often seek out many of these games. From niche games released early in the console’s lifecycle to games that were canceled but made it to retail anyway, many can now bring in several hundred dollars in the current market.

Hard to find now makes it more expensive

Armored Core: For Response is a mech battle game with plenty of combat and fast-paced action, making it a popular game for many. Nowadays, the PlayStation 3 edition of the game proves to be a bit elusive and its rarity has increased the price of the game whenever it is found.

Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning – Signed Edition (2012)

An action RPG with a cult following

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning you could say it has an all-star development team. Author RA Salvatore, responsible for the Drizzt Do’Urden Forgotten Realms novels, created the setting to present his (later canceled) Copernicus Project TTRPG. Amazing Spider-Man artist Todd McFarlane participated in the character’s design, while Morrowind lead designer Ken Rolston helped with the game’s design. Composer Grant Kirkhope, who worked on GoldenEye, Banjo-Kazooieand Perfect Darkdid the soundtrack. So it’s easy to see that there’s a lot to love Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoningwhich largely explains its high price.

Aside from the big names involved in its development, this is a fairly standard action RPG with a fantasy setting. Still, someone’s nostalgia for it is apparent, going back to its exclusive edition, which also included a parchment map of the game’s world, a set of dice, and a deck of fate cards that would be used to play the TTRPG, a figure of the Prismere Troll signed by Todd McFarlane, a lithograph signed by Ken Rolston and a silkscreen of a sketch by Todd McFarlane, retails for $875 new and $583.33 complete in box according to Price chart.
