As Ali (played by Osamah Sami) is forced to follow through with an arranged marriage, his heart can’t help but follow the girl for whom he truly has feelings. When his lies start to spiral out of control, he finds he can’t make anyone happy.

The movie is a fresh take on the genreHowever, as the story goes two Muslims find love, and this is said to be the first Muslim rom-com. The film was nominated for eight AACTA Awards in Australia, winning for Best Original Screenplay. It has a very high 92% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 78% audience score.
