2024's new action thriller is now one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time

Pushpa 2: The Rule became one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. The Telugu-language film is the 2021 sequel Pushpa: the rise and stars Allu Arjun in the title role as a sandalwood smuggler who is working to maintain his business despite great resistance from Indian Police Service superintendent Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil). The cast also includes Rashmika Mandanna, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu and Sunil. 2024 Pushpa 2: The Rule had a record opening in early December, earning the highest-grossing opening day in India for an Indian film.

Put The Numbers, Pushpa 2: The Rule has already raised an impressive US$154.6 million worldwide. While that pales in comparison to big Hollywood blockbusters like Deadpool and Wolverine ($1.34 billion), the film's worldwide total makes it the third highest-grossing Indian film of all time. It is also the highest-grossing Indian film of the decade so far, as the second title is from 2017. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and the #1 Indian film is 2016 Dangal.
