While some of Karl Urban’s best movies and shows have come out in the last decade, there are two of his films that are long overdue for a sequel. Both Dredd and Star Trek were great Karl Urban films, and both could have become his flagship franchises.

The boys season 4 set streaming records for Amazon Prime Video, and Urban’s portrayal of Billy Butcher is no small factor in the show’s success. Mortal Kombat 2 it also has the chance to make Urban’s rise in popularity even more profound. Now that Karl Urban is a star, making sequels to Dredd and Star Trek Beyond seems like a surefire strategy for success.
The main cast of Star Trek Beyond has, for the most part, enjoyed a similar level of popularity to Urban.
