Ark: Ascended Survival has become more comfortable adding fictional or sci-fi creatures, which means More could and should be on the way. Ascended continued to be a dominant force in the gaming sphere. The prehistoric survival game recently sold over two million copies, with another 400,000 in its DLC pack. While it has its flaws, it’s basically everything it should be and more.
Ark has always tried to keep most of its creatures realistic, but some have crossed the line. Burnt Earth introduced the mythical Manticore, and most new additions in Aberration are fictitious. Just recently, the fiery Pyromane joined the squad, albeit with some controversy.

Hippogriffs already have a base
Origin: Greek
AscendedThe easiest option is to add another hybrid to the game – the Hippogriff, joining the Manticore boss. In Greek mythology, hippogriffs resulted from a horse and a griffin who had a child. This works well in survival game, as it already features Griffins and a prehistoric horse variant, the Equus.
In terms of ability, Hippogriffs wouldn’t need to do anything big to be added. The simplest way to include them is to make them one of the coolest flying tamers. A good example is the Pteranodon, a simple dinosaur that doesn’t offer much use, but can be extremely fast. However, as hippogriffs are mythical, they could use a boost, like moving some of the talent from Griffin and Equus.

Adding Pegasus can work in two ways
Origin: Greek
Pegasus is another simple addition that would fit well into Ark. TThe first option for this is to make it a rare Equus variantbut he would have to break the rules a little to allow him to have abilities. The other option is to only include him as a rare natural spawn, similar to Gigas or the cool Titanosaur that can be tamed.
In addition to being a flying tame, which is always useful, there are some powers that Pegasus can have. It is often described as having been used to deliver lightning to Zeus, so it could have some built-in electrical resistanceor give your pilots a small handful of “beams” that they can throw. Another option is related to Pegasus’ connection to water creation, which can be an ability with a long cooldown that proves useful on maps like The Desert.

Anzû is perfect for scorched earth
Origin: Mesopotamia
Anzû would be a tricky addition to balancebut it would be amazing Burnt Earth creature. In history, Anzû was described as a giant bird or an eagle with a lion’s head. Whatever interpretation Studio Wildcard might use, the rarity of this creature would be important, and something like what Phoenix has would probably be better.
The reason Anzûs would be so strong is due to their ability to breathe fire and water.. The first would be a powerful Phoenix-like attack. The latter, on the other hand, could be used as a method of survival in the hellish landscape that is the Desert. Since this would be a tame task in the late game, the balance wouldn’t need to be finely tuned, just centered in a place where Anzû wouldn’t power anything up.
7
Embrace the lightning with Raijū
Origin: Japanese
The Raijū is the lightning companion of the god Raijin, and while complicated, it can be a fun addition. Although the Raijū takes the form of many animals, the most common appearance would be the best option for Ark. This would cause this ball of light to take the shape of a blue-colored wolf.although it may need some minor modifications to better suit the prehistoric theme while maintaining consideration of its roots in Japanese mythology.
All of Raijū’s abilities would be focused on electricity. This would need to be well balanced to ensure it doesn’t get too strong, but a general AOE chain effect could be cool and something rarely used in Ark. A command that is a command that makes him turn into his usual little ball of electricity and hide in the body of a dinosaur it could blend well with Raijū’s story. This may have a slowing effect or minor damage over time.
6
Minotaurs would be a vigorous new combatant
Origin: Greek
Minotaurs would need adjustments to their appearancebut they are an obvious choice for mythological additions Ark: Ascended Survival. The best approach for a change would be to make them all bull or lean more towards a Gigantopithecus body. However, they would be stronger and larger than their humanoid cousins.
In addition to being stronger in terms of stats, there are some abilities that Minotaurs could have. An attractive option that would be balanced by a lack of other skills would be to let them wield the players’ melee weapons. This can be a huge advantage when a high damage weapon is crafted and would likely deal greater damage than a Minotaur punch. A secondary ability could be a horn attack that deals light damage but causes the target to bleed.
5
Mothman would be the perfect addition to the meme
Origin: United States
Mothman may be one of the most comical options, but it could work well as a lighthearted Ark: Ascended Survival addition. Given everything that came together Ark from the beginning, a giant Moth with some humanoid aspects would not be out of the range of possibilities. The creature has been used more lately in games, with the most notable inclusion being in Fallout 76.
The best case for the Mothman would be an untamable creature that chases players. Late at night, players witness a pair of large red eyes staring at them, but any attempt to fight them would cause the creature to leave. If you fight, it shouldn’t be too strong, enough to be a challenge in the early game, but be viable in the mid game. A possible reward for killing him could be an exclusive helmet skin that turns them into Mothman’s face.

Oceans never die with Bake-kujira
Origin: Japanese
Bake-kujira is a yōkai whale skeleton that would punish humans who hunt whales. This design is quite simple and would be a spooky addition to a game that doesn’t typically deal with the paranormal. Bake-kujira would be better suited as a mini-boss that appears if players kill too much ocean life in a short space of time. This allows it to maintain its historical purpose while adding more danger to the Ark: Ascended Survivalthey are oceans.
In his stories, Bake-kujira was capable of cursing humans with plagues and fire. In case of Ark, Although the fires are removed, they can curse players/tamed while they are fighting them. The fairest debuff in this regard would be a slow and annoying endgame, but not final. To counter this, Bake-Kujira would have low damage outputgiving your opponent a fair but challenging fight.
3
The Kraken Could Be the Ocean’s Ultimate Boss
Origin: Norwegian
The Kraken would be a powerful option to add as a new world boss. The giant cephalopod fight could occur in two ways: completely underwater or a mixture. The first option would be more difficult for players as it limits weapon and taming options, but it could be the more memorable experience. The second option, on the other hand, would be a little easier and would have to be approached in a completely different way.
The Kraken in the base may be a simple boss with attack patterns using its tentacles. However, when diving into its natural ability to live in ice-cold water, Ark could give some bonuses. Some simple options, without going overboard, would be to let it release cold water that weakens anything it hits or make it rain icicles that harden quickly. This may push the Kraken a bit beyond its known strength, but it can make the fight more engaging.
2
Cerberus is the king of the underground
Origin: Greek
Cerberus would be another fun world boss, more suited The Center or the Molten Element region of Aberration. This is due to the beast’s job of being the guardian of the gates of Hell. So placing it on these two maps with large underground ecosystems fits better. Cerberus could be made into a rare tame, but fits a little better as a world boss.
Given its history and design, Cerberus would be a challenging fight. The most obvious attacks would be scary bites and claws. However, leaning more towards the mystical gives a big boost. Cerberus would occasionally breathe fire, which would result in a devastating attack around a small arena. Furthermore, if Ark opts to add snake heads to the back, this can deliver poison attacks that deal moderate to small damage but leave devitalizing debuffs.
1
Hydra becomes the king of the ark
Origin: Greek
The legendary Hydra dragon may be the most difficult encounter of Ascended. TAlthough its appearance varies, the most common is a titan-sized dragon with about five to seven heads.. A fight of this magnitude would likely require state-of-the-art equipment and Ark: Ascended Survivalthe best dinosaurs for a chance to win.
In terms of skill, Hydra could define what a boss fight is like. Each head could have a different element it uses, and its melee attacks would pack a heavy punch. In keeping with the theme of doubling its head, the only way to kill the Hydra would be to kill all active heads within the same period.. If a head is killed too early, it will split into two, which can use the same, albeit weaker, element. The maximum number of heads would be ten to avoid technical problems, but that would be a huge disadvantage to recover from.
Overall, it would take some effort to put most of these mythical ideas into practice. Ascendedbut it would be worth it. They would be memorable experiences and could also be priced to justify the effort. If not used in this game, these ideas may also be translated into Ark 2 without many problems. Regardless, ten mythical creatures would all be great inclusions in the Ark: Ascended Survival or elsewhere in the franchise’s future.
