Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most popular recent shonen series, but not all characters are liked equally. Standouts like Gojo Satoru and Yuji Itadori have become well-known cultural icons even outside of anime fandom. Their tremendous strength, jaw-dropping powers, distinctive character designs, and notable personalities have helped them become lasting heroes, but they are not the only characters in the story who matter.
There are hundreds of interesting characters to enjoy in Jujutsu Kaisen, plus the select few that have become iconic. These lesser-known heroes and villains played important roles in several arcs, and many of them are sadly underused in the story. No matter how brief your appearance in Jujutsu Kaisen, the series wouldn’t be the same without those more obscure characters who sometimes take a back seat but actually deserved more praise and screen time than they received.

Hanami
Hanami loves the planet and fights to protect it with a unique natural technique
Hanami is one of Jujutsu Kaisen Disaster Curse villains with some unbelievable nature-related powers. Hanami’s will is almost unshakable because of how much they despise humans. They have witnessed the destruction humanity has wreaked on the land and nature and understandably developed a passionate grudge against them.
Hanami was eventually killed by Gojo, but before their death, they made a huge impact on the series that deserves recognition. They fought some of the strongest sorcerers in the series, including Gojo, Yuji, and Todoand they remained. Their nature-themed character design, innate disaster plant technique, and surprisingly rational desire to protect the planet make them one of the best villains in the series.

Miwa Kasumi
Miwa is one of the most tenacious characters in the entire series, even bravely fighting Kenjaku
Miwa is not the most physically powerful Jujutsu Kaisen sorceress, but she still works hard. Her New Shadow Style technique and skill with her preferred weapon: a katana, allow her to defend herself against most threats. Unfortunately, she is portrayed by fandom, and even, sometimes, by history, as useless.
Miwa lost some battles. For example, she was almost destroyed by Maki Zenin. In the end, she fighting Kenjaku forcibly removed all of her powers because she sacrificed them in a final failed attempt to defeat him. His appearance in Jujutsu Kaisen It may have been short-lived, but Miwa’s drive and kindness make her a memorable heroine. She fought passionately until the last moment, and although she did not win, it is difficult to forget her valiant efforts so easily.

Mechamaru/Kokichi
Kokichi died prematurely, before he could even fully use his new body
One Jujutsu Kaisen character The one who definitely deserved more screen time is Mechamarualso known as Kokichi Muta. Kokichi’s physical body is very weak, so he uses a robot called Ultimate Mechamaru to fight. He did everything to heal his weak body, even making a deal with the Disaster Curses, which led to his death.
When the Curses struck back at Kokichi and his classmates, he fought with all his might to protect himself and his loved ones with his new body. Mahito and Geto killed him very early in the series’ second season, leaving him little time to explore and increase the power of his new, healed body. If Mechamaru had stayed alive longer, He could have accomplished even greater feats with his determination and intelligencebut his last battle sealed his tragic fate.

Shoko Ieiri
Shoko is a doctor who has saved countless lives, fighting behind the scenes to help other sorcerers
Shoki Ieiri may not be combative, but it proves its strength and relevance to the story in other ways. She serves as Jujutsu High’s doctor, healing and caring for the other sorcerers fighting on the front lines against curses. Shoko is well-versed in biology, proficient in using the Reverse Cursed technique for healing purposes, and her work has saved many lives.
Because the ability to use the RCT is so rare, Shoko is invaluable to Jujutsu High and his comrades, who are often seriously injured in battle. Lives like those of Kiyotaka Ijichi and Takuma Ino were protected thanks to Shoko’s vast knowledge and RCT, and she also passed this intelligence on to others, teaching sorcerers like Gojo how to use RCT as well. Although not a combatant, Shoko is a vital aspect of the series because of her behind-the-scenes efforts.
6
Mai Zenin
Mai bypasses her cursed low energy and even protects her sister’s life
Of the Zenin sisters, Mai is the least knownplaying a smaller role in the series than her sister, Maki. She and Maki grew up in the same oppressive Zenin clan, but chose very different paths for their lives. While Maki rebelled and went off on her own, Mai wanted to follow the clan’s rules but became a sorceress anyway.
Although she is not the most skilled sorceress, with pitifully low cursed energy, Mai finds ways around this shortcoming. Mai’s talent with a weapon is unparalleled, so she relies on this weapon instead of simply using her weak Cursed Energy and technique. Despite Mai’s rivalry with Maki she allowed her own father to kill her to save her sister in the enda moving sacrifice that makes her a character that cannot be forgotten.
5
Yuki Tsukumo
Yuki uses her Shikigami, Garuda, intelligently, giving her one of the coolest fighting styles in the series
As a special-level jujutsu sorcerer, Yuki is one of the most powerful fighters in the series. She fights in a unique way, using a shikigami named Garuda. With his innate Star Rage technique, Yuki can imbue the being with Cursed Energy and thus perform more powerful attacks than she would have been capable of alone.
Unfortunately, Yuki was killed by Kenjaku, like so many others, but she didn’t go down without a fight. She was turned into a black hole as her own technique ironically turned against her. Despite this unfortunate accident, Yuki deserves to be remembered as one of the series’ bravest heroes, who never backed down from a challenge and owned one of the Jujutsu Kaisen coolest techniques.
4
Toge Inumaki
Toge did not fight after the Shibuya incident, never reaching his full potential
Toge Inumaki’s Cursed Technique is one of the most intriguing and unparalleled in Jujutsu Kaisen. The semi-grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer uses Cursed Speech, which allows him to attack with just his voice. As one can imagine, this ability is unstoppable, allows for many creative uses, and can be fatal.
During the Shibuya Incident arc, Toge was seriously injured, losing an arm. Many fans were very disappointed to see Toge disappears from the story after this fight because he seemed to have a lot of potential. With his genius power, Toge could have been vital in the series’ final fights, so it’s a shame he’s absent after the Shibuya Incident arc.
3
Junpei Yoshino
Junpei died too soon, killed by the cruel cursed spirit, Mahito
Junpei’s character arc is one of the saddest in Jujutsu Kaisen. Since being bullied and mistreated, he has developed a strong grudge against everyone around him. Disgustingly, the Cursed Spirit, Mahito, exploited Junpei’s weaknesses and convinced him that he was helping, when he was the one who killed Junpei in the end.
Not being able to save Junpei continued to haunt Yuji for years, motivating him to ensure no one else suffered the same fate. Junpei’s life was finally changing when he met Yuji and found his first real friend, but his dreams were quickly dashed. We can only imagine what an incredible fighter and wonderful person he is Junpei could have become if Mahito hadn’t ended his life so suddenly.
2
All Aoi
After the Shibuya incident arc, Todo unfortunately practically disappears from the story
Todo Aoi, Yuji’s self-proclaimed “best friend,” is one of the series’ fan-favorite characters. From his eccentric personality and love for idol Takada, to his remarkable Boogie Woogie and Black Flash clapping technique, he is an unforgettable hero. Everyone played one important role in some Jujutsu Kaisen best battlesincluding the final fight against Mahito.
After his phenomenal teamwork with Yuju in the Shibuya Incident arc, fans were eager to see the hero fight again. Unfortunately, this fight not only caused him to lose a hand, but it was the last time fans saw him until almost the end of the series. Todo could have used his powers effectively in several battles, but was unfortunately underutilized in the rest of the battle. Jujutsu Kaisen, only returning to action in the series finale.
1
Game
Game is one of Jujutsu Kaisen The best and most powerful cursed spirits, who were unfortunately killed by Sukuna
Game is one of Jujutsu Kaisen best villains who fought against some of the most experienced sorcerers. Of the Disaster Curses, he is one of the strongest, with a power level equal to that of Sukuna’s eight or nine fingers. He performs visually stunning attacks using fire and volcanic lava, his dominance is nearly invincible, and he fought Gojo several times.
Most Cursed Spirits are nowhere near Game level, and if Sukuna hadn’t killed him, he probably would have done a lot more damage. Fans appreciate Game for its impressive skills, quick thinking, and undoubtedly cool character design. It’s a shame he died during the Shibuya Incident arc because considering how steadily his power grew from the beginning of the series up to that point If he had continued training, he could have become nearly invincible.
