There are many characters in The Big Bang Theory franchise that doesn't get the praise it deserves. While The Big Bang Theory Focused on the relationships between members of the scientists' friend group, Leonard and Sheldon often took center stage, leaving several other characters without the plot or attention they should have received, including people from both the main group and those peripheral to the story. Although there is supposedly a new Big Bang Theory spinoff starring Stuart Bloom, several other characters never got their due.
This problem continued once The Big Bang Theory generated Young Sheldon, which focused on the Cooper family during Sheldon's childhood in the 1980s and 1990s. The prequel offered many interesting supporting characters, but not all of them got enough screen time, although one is seriously underrated Young Sheldon character will be crossing to Georgie and Mandy's first wedding brief. The trend of underutilizing characters continues in the new Georgie and Mandy spinoff, as There's at least one person in this series who's more important to the central action than they might seem.

Meemaw (Annie Potts) first appeared in The Big Bang Theory season 9, episode 14, although she was played by June Squibb in that episode. She is a complex, interesting, and funny character who is close to Sheldon, despite often being irritated with him. However, she is mostly seen as a supporting character who is there to make jokes or interfere with the Coopers' plans during any plotline. This is unfortunate, as Meemaw's backstory and relationships are worth taking a closer look at.
Meemaw has always been a widow, with little to no explanation about her relationship with her husband or what her life was like before. Additionally, although her best-known story is silly, she often provides emotional support to Sheldon or Mary and gives good advice after George Sr.'s death. These moments are more important than the nonsense surrounding his illegal gaming room. and demonstrate how much she deserves more than she has.

Missy's name comes up often in discussions about characters who didn't get the stories they deserved. Sheldon's twin sister is a fan favorite because of her sarcastic comments, her frustration at being ignored in favor of Sheldon's genius, and her bad behavior. However, she was treated as a secondary character for most of the film. Young Sheldon's run, which is one of the biggest disappointments in franchise history. Additionally, Missy's story remains unfinished as she appears in The Big Bang Theory as an unhappy adult, but little is known about what happened to make her that way.
Missy's devastation after George Sr.'s death was authentic and raw, opening up plot possibilities, but she didn't get a real ending at the end of Young Sheldon.

Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz

Bernadette is often considered a superficial character with an annoyingly high-pitched voice, but this superficial description bears little resemblance to reality. She's so much more than the stereotypical character she originally seemed to see, and it's a shame that she's so forgotten. Bernadette is similar to Georgia Engels' character in Mary Tyler Moore show and has a similar arc to this character all over The Big Bang Theory, overcoming her shyness to become an assertive woman and the perfect partner for Howard.
Furthermore, even in the early seasons, Bernadette was shown to have a quick-witted intelligence and often responded quickly when other people teased her or had ridiculous ideas.. So she was never really the kind of character she's often considered to be, and it's a shame that she's mostly remembered for that high-pitched voice or as Howard's wife, without recognizing the depth of her contributions to The Big Bang Theory.

Debbie Wolowitz (Howard's mother)
Carol Ann Susi
Howard's mother was heard but never seen, making it difficult to think of her as anything other than a source of jokes about Howard's upbringing, personality, and relationship with her. However, it takes skill to make a character seem real without ever appearing on camera, and veteran voice actress Carol Ann Susi did it perfectly. Additionally, Debbie had a strong influence on Howard and therefore the other characters, which makes her much more important than she seems.
In some ways, Debbie was a stereotypical Jewish mother, so it's unfortunate that her character was never fully explored, which would have explained her personality and moved away from the stereotypes. However, his criticisms and criticisms deeply affected Howard, and often his comments were some of the funniest lines in the series. Thus, it is difficult to argue that she is not an important character despite her seemingly minor role in The Big Bang Theory.

Coach Wilkins is one of the most underrated characters in Young Sheldon. He is most often seen in scenes in the high school training room, giving George advice or making hilarious comments, making it seem like he is a secondary character whose job is to provide comedy in exchanges with George. However, Wilkins' relationship with George runs deeper than that. He wanted the best for George and his children, often helping him see things differently.
Hopefully Wilkins will appear more often as a family friend and soon lose his underrated status.
Wilkins' friendship with George was supposed to extend to regularly checking in on the Coopers now that George has passed away. Thus, he is one of the Young Sheldon characters who should return in Georgie and Mandy's first weddingand the news that he will do so soon is exciting. Hopefully Wilkins will appear more often as a family friend and soon lose his underrated status. However, he may again only be used for humor in his guest appearance, as it is not yet known what he will do.

Raj has a similar dilemma to Bernadette, as The Big Bang Theory it often focuses on just one aspect of his personality rather than giving him the stories and main character status he deserves. Raj's stories often revolved around him not being able to talk to women he was attracted to or having social anxiety in general.and unfortunately, these traits were often used as punchlines instead of Raj being portrayed as a person who happened to have these issues.
Additionally, Raj's shyness often put him in the background, which made him more of a supporting character than a main one, despite being part of the group of friends. His problems with social situations were very different from Sheldon's, but Sheldon received more attention because the series revolved to some extent around his friends' attempts to deal with their idiosyncrasies. Thus, Raj rarely became the center of attention in the series, despite the potential his character had.

Anu

Anu is such a minor character that she doesn't have a surname, but she is very important to Raj and therefore the series in general, which she gets credit for. She appears in only 9 episodes, but during her short stint, Raj develops a serious relationship with her and is heartbroken when he has to choose between his life in California and his relationship with her, as she needs to move to London to pursue a career. .
Although the relationship did not work out, Anu was a much better partner for Raj than any other woman in the country. The Big Bang Theorythus making it a shame that the relationship was interrupted by his move to London. Anu's acceptance of Raj's selective mutism is a touching moment that demonstrates how perfect they are for each other and proves that Anu is much more than a character who was just there for story purposes.

Billy Sparks was initially introduced as a foil to Sheldon. He was supposed to be as stupid as Sheldon was smart, and his lack of understanding and common sense were often at the center of jokes in the early seasons. However, Billy is much more than a stereotypical villain, and the version of him in Young Sheldon is very different from the boy Sheldon described as a “childhood bully” in The Big Bang Theory. Billy is good-natured and longs for acceptance, and his close friendship with Missy makes him a more important character than he seems.

Like Anu, Denise does not have a surname and appears in a limited number of episodes of The Big Bang Theorymaking her seem like an extremely secondary character. Additionallyher role is that of Stuart's girlfriend, which makes her somewhat peripheral to the main group of friends. However, Denise is an important influence on the other characters.
Denise's knowledge of comic books and similar fandoms is instrumental in her establishing a friendship with Sheldon, and other characters often turn to her for help when they need to know about various franchises. Denise is also a more recurring character than Anu, appearing sporadically throughout the last few seasons. which suggests that her character could have been developed further if The Big Bang Theory had continued.

Connor appears intended to be a replacement for Sheldonthat doesn't appear Georgie and Mandy's first wedding. The family has difficulty relating to him and he has obsessive and esoteric interests that they do not understand. Unfortunately, for the most part, Connor has a small role in the new series, often stopping by the kitchen with an odd request or comment. However, he is much more than an awkward brother who is played for laughs.
Georgie and Mandy's first weddingThe fall finale was the first episode to introduce Connor in a significant way, and it was clear that Georgie was able to accept him more than her biological family could, because of Georgie's experience as Sheldon's older brother. Connor's comment at the end of the episode that “Georgie is a nice guy“will likely become a significant source of conflict as Audrey dislikes Georgie, which will hopefully lead to public awareness that Connor is an important part of The Big Bang Theory franchise rather than a secondary character.
