While the life simulation genre has been around for a long time, it's only in recent years that cozy games have really taken off. Characterized by a generally slow pace, colorful visuals, and a light-hearted atmosphere, cozy games provide a much-needed mood boost for gamers of all ages.
And even though this has been happening for some time, the cozy gaming trend is still going strong. There are a plethora of cozy games slated for release in 2025 and beyond. From highly anticipated big releases to lesser-known games like Fields of MysteryIt seems like new cozy games are released every week. Here are ten of the most exciting and cozy game releases scheduled for next year.

Sunkissed City promises cozy seaside living
Mr. Podunkian, Q4 2025
If something about City kissed by the sunThe game's art style and gameplay feel familiar, there's a good reason for that: is currently under development by the former Valley of the Stars developer Arthur "Mr. Podunkian" Lee. City kissed by the sun will transport players to Apollo City, a colorful seaside metropolis with a little more hustle and bustle than Pelican Town. It seems to play a bit like Valley of the Stars: There is agriculture, fishing and friendship, albeit with new flora, fauna and friends.
Players can create handcrafted goods, meet their neighbors, and decorate their homes as they try to return Apollo City to its former glory. It's currently slated for a PC release in Q4 2025 (although nothing has been confirmed yet) and can be wishlisted on Steam today. No word on other platforms yet.

Wanderstop is a cozy, genre-defying game from the creator of Stanley Parable

Stop for a walk It looks like a pretty cozy game on the surface, but there's a bit more going on beneath it. It stars Alta, a retired warrior who reluctantly becomes the owner of a secluded teahouse within a magical forest. She'll have to gather her own ingredients, turn them into tea, stock the store, and keep everything clean while meeting the locals. Over time, Alta begins to accept her trauma and appreciate the joys of the slow life as she realizes that There's more to healing than relentless progress.
And speaking of games with pedigree, Stop for a walk has an impressive. It is being developed by Ivy Road, with a team made up of The Stanley Parable creator Davey Wreden, Went home co-creator Karla Zimonja, and minecraft composer C418. It is scheduled for release on March 11, 2025 and will be available on PC and PS5 at launch.

Tales Of Seikyu is a transformational farming simulator set in a world of Yokai

Tales of Seikyu is a typical cozy game set in a fantasy version of Edo period Japan, with a unique twist: players will transform into a variety of different yokai (or mythological creatures) to complete your daily tasks. They can take the form of a boar to plow a field and then a slime to water it. Yokai transformations can also be used for exploration: players can run, swim, or fly more quickly when in certain forms.
Mechanically, Tales of Seikyu Features all the cozy gaming staples: agriculture, fishing, cooking and gathering. Players can form relationships and eventually romances with their neighbors. But more exclusively, Tales of Seikyu also features action combat against imposing bosses. Funded by a Kickstarter earlier this year, the launch is scheduled for 2025 – no specific date yet – and appears to be exclusive to PC for now.

Loftia is a futuristic life simulator set on islands in the sky

Want something a little more modern? So check it out Attic in 2025. This cozy game, self-described as "solarpunk," is situated in an archipelago of interconnected communities, Zeldastyle floating islands in the sky. In AtticPlayers are not only tasked with earning lots of money and beautifying their properties; they are encouraged to build a sustainable future by becoming self-sufficient as they make useful items from renewable and recyclable materials that they have harvested themselves.
It will also have a multiplayer mode, so players can work together with their friends. They can also choose from a diverse menu of helpful pets, including dogs, cats, turtles, llamas, baby penguins, and capybaras. Attic There is no set release date yet, but is expected to enter an early access period in late 2025. Full release details will likely come some time later. It is currently only available on Steam and is expected to be exclusive to PC, at least during early access.

Solarpunk is a cozy wind-powered game with a survival twist

For those who want a little more challenge in their cozy games, Solarpunk it's worth a look. Conceptually, it is quite similar to Attic: is set on floating islands and focuses on sustainability, with things like airships and wind farms used for transportation and resource collection. Visually (and in terms of gameplay), however, it couldn't be more different. Players will still be farming in Solarpunkbut they will do it to survive. As cozy as this game seems, players will have to manage their resources carefully to stay alive. There also appears to be a greater emphasis on crafts and agriculture.
Solarpunk also includes multiplayer features, so players can enlist their friends to help them establish automated bases and explore a vast floating world. Published by the prolific and cozy gaming company rokagames (more on them later), Solarpunk is targeting a 2025 release date on PC – no other platforms or specific dates yet.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time revives a classic and cozy game

Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma is a spin-off of the original cozy game

Hello Kitty Island Adventure will be released for PC and console in 2025

OK, Hello Kitty Island Adventure has already been released, but is currently exclusive to Apple Arcade. This exclusivity expires in 2025, however, with Hello Kitty Island Adventure Coming to Switch, PC, PS4, PS5 and Windows. Hailed as a fresh take on the established cozy game formula, Hello Kitty Island Adventure is loved by Sanrio fans old and new. He plays more like Animal crossing what to like Star: Players will decorate their islands, interact with various Sanrio characters (including My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Retsuko, and Gudetama), and exchange gifts. Featuring customizable characters in a customizable Bywater, Tales from the Shire allows players to see Middle Earth from a different side: that of the fun-loving, food-loving Hobbits. They will set out on simple, relaxing missions, bringing materials to design their homes and prepare delicious dishes to impress their neighbors.
Developed by Wētā Workshop, a New Zealand-based special effects company that designed many of the sets, props and costumes used in the film. Lord of the Rings films, Tales from the Shire currently targeting a March 25 release. It will be available on Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S when it launches.
