In Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remakeyou can find many different friendly monsters to recruit for the Monster Arena. Finding the best team from the start, however, can be a challenge. Even so, there are still some pretty useful monsters that should help you finish battles without breaking a sweat. You can have up to three monsters on your team at the same timeso keep this in mind when thinking about the best ones to choose.
Party combos in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake They’re important, even when it’s a monster party. However, At the beginning of the game, you’ll probably just be looking for monsters of any kind to recruit. Having a Monster Wrangler or items that help you hide your presence will work best for tracking down these friendly monsters and recruiting them. If you don’t have either of those two things, the monsters will probably try to escape.
10
Sludge
The first friendly monster you will have
Although it may seem quite weak, the fact is that Slime is the first and easiest monster to recruit in the game. It’s also possible to get a second one very quickly after the first by using a Chimera Wing to return home. This means you will have increased stats and a second one available immediately.
While they may not get you very far, you can get through the first two rows of the Monster Arena with just the two Slimes and the Healslime, which can also be found easily and early. This means a lot of extra money as the group progresses to the next section of the game, which could very well make a difference since you can buy new equipment for your party and resurrect anyone who needs it.
9
Lunatic Crow
Stay level with your opponents
Just like the Slime, the Raven Lunatic is just a friendly early-game monster that can be relatively useful until you find something you like better. It is also a monster that will appear a lot in lower ranked battles in the Monster Arena, so you will be on the same level as your enemies. This isn’t necessarily good or bad, but it will keep you on track and you should still win your battles as long as the Raven isn’t alone.
There is another Raven possible to find early in the game, making your Raven a little better than your enemies’ Ravens. The more monsters you can find and rescue, the greater the advantage you will have in the first hours of the game, and this advantage will continue to be maintained as you progress through the mid-game.
8
Prestidigitator
Making an annoying enemy your friend
The Prestidigitator is an enemy that can make your head spin a bit early in the game if you’re not careful. It’s also a difficult enemy to evade, and Prestidigitators can take some hits and use their own magical attacks. The friendly monster can be found on the way to the first main objective after leaving Romaria, so can be acquired easily without encountering difficult enemies along the way.
Something to keep in mind is that any monster that is annoying as an enemy will it will also probably be annoying to fight in the Monster Arena. This may not always seem to be the case, but it is often true. There may be exceptions, as Healslimes don’t tend to pose much of a threat in the wild, but it’s something to think about when considering who to put on a team.
7
Spiked Hare
A dangerous rabbit to face
Two spiked hares appear at the very beginning Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remakebut one of them can be a little tricky to access. This is where the Monster Wrangler class will come in handy. Make sure someone is in your party to prevent friendly monsters from escaping. The Thorny Hare isn’t as useful as some of the other monsters on this list, but He’s a decent striker who can be found early.
Once you have both, the Thorny Hare becomes more valuable and can be a decent choice for Rank F in Monster Arena. Regardless of how you choose to form your party, just make sure you have a strong attacker, like the Thorny Hare, to fight the monsters while the stronger healers keep them alive.
6
Cumaulus
A cloud that breathes fire instead of water
These friendly, cloud-like monsters might not seem like much, but they can offer a strong offense. There are several that can be found throughout the game, and you should be able to recruit at least one in the Norvik area before reaching the Ibis, which is where the second large Monster Arena awaits.
They may not have much else, but they can offer a strong fire-breathing offensive attack, which is what matters as long as there’s a healer to keep them alive. Being found so early is also a bonus, as you won’t have to worry about finding a different strong attacker until later if you don’t want to. However, there are slightly stronger options that you can have multiples of later on this list, so keep that in mind when looking for them.
5
Restless Armor
A tank of damage to stay alive
If you want a strong attacker with higher statsRestless Armor is the way to go. You should combine it with a Bubble Slime as it is a way to make it much stronger. This way you can keep him fully healed while dealing damage. This one is also quite tank-like, which makes it useful for keeping it on the board.
Additionally, Restless Armor has some good skills that will be useful in battle, and throughout the game you will be able to recruit many of them. Arthur is the first one you will meet near Ashambut you can get a second one once you find Alltrades Abbey. There are others later on that will only make the stats get higher and higher.
4
Antgobbler
Although not at the top of the list, Antgobbler also deserves its place in the party. You can find two very early on, Antony and Gobblebert, before you get to Chapter 4, and being able to improve these stats quickly is important. This will help you get through the early stages of the Monster Arena as you seek out more powerful monsters.
The second Antgobbler can be found in the Underground Cave near Norvik.
The main thing about Antgobbler is that they have the ability to eliminate status ailments. This comes from an ability called Sobering Slap, which will help you mitigate any annoying attacks coming from the party of less friendly monsters.
3
bubble slime
A little boy with a lot of healing potential
You can find a Bubble Slime at the beginning of Chapter 2, on the 2nd floor of Skyfell Tower. It will be a strong early game healer, but is a little less versatile than Healslime. It will be able to withstand a lot of damage and continue healing, and although Healslime has a better healing ability that can affect the entire party, Bubble Slime can heal one party member more than the other.
You can find a second Bubble Slim when you arrive at Ibis Castlebut this will occur mid-game and may not be as useful once you get that far. While that may be the case, you can’t do any better early on than having at least one of these guys in your party.
2
Catula
Vampire cats that are strong magic dealers
You can find these vampire cats at the beginning of the game, with one prowling near the Tower of Transcendence, where can you get The Sage class Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake. This is a useful party member who can do some damage with spells.
Have a starting party member capable of casting spells is always usefulespecially when you get to some of the battles ranked after the initial ones in Romaria. Although better monsters will likely appear once the endgame arrives, this one is worth including if you want to win some mid-game battles.
1
Cure slime
Strong finishers early in the game
Healslimes will be a very important part of early game fights in the Monster Arena. Although other better healers will appear later, these little guys will help on the path to achieving victory from the start. keeping the Monster party healthy. Without them it will be much more difficult to keep the party alive.
You can find a Healslime called Healie very early in Khoryv. Additionally, there are more Healslimes available early on and Healie can continue to be a favorite party member in the mid-game. Healslimes can also act as attackersso they can do a lot of work for you and continue to be useful even if you have a better healer in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.
