Avengers: Secret Wars
will end the Multiverse Saga, and with that it is expected that there will be some kind of reset in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)
which is extremely necessary for some characters. The MCU's humble beginnings in 2008 are a distant memory, and now this giant franchise stands as a global phenomenon. However, along with exponential growth and billion-dollar films, the MCU has gotten somewhat out of control, with the Multiverse Saga having more than its fair share of dull moments and disappointing character moments.
Fortunately, the Multiverse Saga is just a stepping stone for the MCU's transition from the Avengers era to a new phase that is expected to have new teams of heroes like the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and a new Avengers team. However, Avengers: Secret Wars also presents an opportunity to hit the reset button on some familiar characterswhich could get a much-needed update. Whether that means a new cast or simply a change in direction, the MCU is ready for a change.

Hulk
The character must be intimidating again
Hulk had an interesting journey alongside Bruce Banner. Considering that the character has already been rebooted for the MCU from Edward Norton's portrayal, Mark Ruffalo has been a hit since appearing in the MCU. However, the latest developments in his character arc have left Banner and Hulk combined into one Smart Hulk and honestly, the character is kind of boring compared to the rage fueled by Hulk and the ultra-calm Banner.
It's likely that Hulk will persist into the next phase, considering how much he was raised in the Hulk family with a mysterious son, his cousin turning into another Hulk, and several of his villains about to return. However, if Hulk emerges victorious, He needs to get that anger and power back. Secret Wars could finally redefine the character and at least turn Smart Hulk into something more intimidating.

Iron Man
Too cool not to be seen again in the MCU
Tony Stark is dead and that should not be changed. The hero who stood out as the heart of the MCU had one of the best character arcs of any franchise, let alone a superhero film. However, the Iron Man character is too cool a concept to never see in the MCU again. With Avengers: Secret Warsthere's a chance to finally get an Iron Man replacement, whether it's Riri Williams as Ironheart, Morgan Stark, or someone else.
There could even be unique ways to take a protégé like Tom Holland's Peter Parker and have him become the next Iron Man, although with Holland signing a multi-film deal as Spider-Man, that seems less likely. Plus, with Robert Downey Jr. returning to play Doctor Doom, facing him as a variant of Iron Man could be an incredible moment.

Scarlet Witch
She Desperately Needs a Reboot
Elizabeth Olsen is a spectacular actress and her MCU character, Wanda Maximoff has been constantly beaten, bruised and turned into a monster. As a result of losing everyone she loved, her trauma caused her to do some questionable things. But then, when she got her hands on the Darkhold, the book turned her into a true villain. Whether she is alive or dead after the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessshe desperately needs a reboot.
It would be great to have Wanda return, realizing the full potential of her Scarlet Witch powers and using them to be the hero.
And, considering that the character has been seen in several universes living happily with her children, it seems that Wanda sometimes gets a happy ending. It would be great to have Wanda return, realizing the full potential of her Scarlet Witch powers and using them to be the hero. If anyone deserves a happy ending and a reset, it's Wanda.

Vision
He deserves a reboot as much as Wanda
Wanda's beloved partner Vision suffered a terrible fate in Avengers: Infinity Warwhen he was first sacrificed by Wanda to save the world, and that plan was immediately thwarted by Thanos, who reversed time and then ripped the Mind Stone from his head. Since then, the character has appeared again, but in WandaVisionhe was part of Wanda's illusion, while SWORD used his remains to create White Vision. Then, although he has technically been redefined in a few ways, none of them are truly Vision.
Vision was a hero who came back to life in Avengers: Age of Ultronand only started living when he met Wanda Maximoff and decided to run away with her. But their romance was cut short when the Black Order arrived on Earth. If Wanda is rebooted, it would be worth bringing back her beloved Vision and allowing the Maximoff family to have a real future as one of the most powerful families in the MCU.

Black Panther
The title of hero could remain with Shuri or be passed on to T'Challa Jr.
Chadwick Boseman was an incredible choice for the role of Black Panther, but when he tragically passed away, the role was vacant for some time. Since then, T'Challa's sister Shuri has taken charge, and a son has been revealed to be secretly living outside the Kingdom of Wakanda. So, there are people ready to take on the role, but we have seen very few of them.
If Shuri continues to be Black Panther, it's time to get a proper outing with her as the character, and if the future is set to see T'Challa Jr. follow in his father's footsteps, it would be great to see that happen later. Avengers: Secret Wars. Black Panther is a powerful hero, coming from a nation so advanced it seems essentially magical. This story and character are essential to the future of the MCUso they need to have strong representation.
5
Kang
Using time travel, they could explore multiple versions of Kang
Kang was being set up to be the biggest threat to the MCU, with Avengers: Judgment Day initially operating under the title, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Phase 4 worked hard to set up this eventuality, but unfortunately, due to external circumstances, the character was retired early. However, it would still be exciting to see Kang become a villain that threatens the MCU.
While the Mutliverse version of the character would need significant changesThere's a way Kang could still provide a multi-version threat: time travel. Kang could travel along the Sacred Timeline, inserting himself into set points and causing chaos. It would need to be a big change from before, but it could be interesting to see it happen on the big screen.
4
Thor
Maybe it's time for a new actor to play Thor
Chris Hemsworth has been a part of the MCU since his debut film was released in 2011. Now, he stands as one of the few remaining original Avengers and has had no less than four films in which he has starred. Despite this, the character's tone and personality underwent major changes throughout these films. And, in his most recent output, Thor: Love and Thunderhe felt like a caricature of himself.
The God of Thunder has a lot of potential, but With Hemsworth growing tired of playing the role, it may be time for someone new to take on the role of Thor. This could allow a different version of the character to appear on the big screen and help move beyond the original Avengers rather than having some characters stick around for a moment too long.
3
Nick Fury
Fury is a fundamental character for heroes
Nick Fury has been a big part of the MCU since the beginningwith him coming to recruit Tony Stark in Iron Man. However, Fury has also suffered a lot throughout the MCU. Not only has he turned to dust, beaten and bruised, permanently scarred and lost almost everyone he was close to, but he is also tired. For an undisclosed period of time, Fury decided to quit and let a Skrull take his place on Earth, so it's clear he's getting a little old for such things.
However, Fury is a fundamental character for the heroes of the Marvel Universe. He helps recruit and assemble these teams, provides espionage and training expertise, and mentors empowered individuals to become superheroes. If the MCU presses the reset button after Avengers: Secret Wars, Fury is someone who could really benefit from a change.
2
Doctor Strange
A reboot could put Strange back into his role as sorcerer supreme
Stephen Strange has had a difficult journey in the MCU. Due to his own arrogance and ego, he suffered an intense injury on his debut, which left him unable to perform as a world-renowned neurosurgeon. Strange struggled with this for a long time and tried to find ways to become whole again and eventually found something even better. Strange began to study the mystical artsand became an unimaginably powerful sorcerer and the Sorcerer Supreme, but this was short-lived.
After Strange disappeared for the time being, Wong became the new Sorcerer Supreme, and despite Strange's return, he isn't sure how to return to life with so many changes. Strange may be a wise wizard after training in the mystic arts, but he still has his ego. However, a reset could put Strange back into his role as Sorcerer Supreme, and that could, in turn, allow him to continue growing and realizing his full potential.

Captain Marvel
The character has no future in the MCU without changes
Carol Danvers is an intriguing character and, like Captain Marvel, stands out as one of the MCU's most powerful heroes. However, it is no secret that several comic book movie fans were highly negative about the character and his portrayal in the MCU. The films were criticized, and it wasn't until films like The Marvels hit streaming platforms that people embraced the film and realized how fun and engaging it really was.
It may make sense to recast the role, change the character in significant ways, or simply redefine the character in an effort to start over.
However, it's hard to imagine the character having much of a future in the MCU without changes. It may make sense to recast the role, change the character in significant ways, or simply redefine the character in an effort to start over. If Avengers: Secret Wars is set to fix some bugs and change the UCM largely like rebooting characters, so Captain Marvel would make sense to make some changes.
