The Death of Aubrey Plaza has the opportunity to cross paths with many MCU characters after its debut in Agatha all the time. Marvel Studios has recently introduced a number of powerful cosmic entities into the MCU, including Eternity, Living Tribunal, and Watcher, and Agatha all the time debuted another one. Adapted from Lady Death, who made her debut in Marvel Comics in 1973 Captain Marvel #26Aubrey Plaza brought Death to the MCU, who was revealed to have had a centuries-long love/hate relationship with Kathryn Hahn’s witch, Agatha Harkness.
As an abstract entity, the personification of life ending in the MCU, Death is immune to harm and can never die as she is not technically alive. This means that Aubrey Plaza Agatha all the time The character has existed throughout the history of the MCU and will likely continue to play a role in the franchise as it grows. The concept of death is an important part of many MCU characters’ lives, so it stands to reason that Death itself could cross these characters’ paths in the future of the MCU.

Dead Pool
Wade Wilson’s Deadpool debuted in the MCU in Deadpool and Wolverine (2024)
Marvel Comics fans will know that Lady Death and Wade Wilson have a long and complicated history, much of which involved them forming a twisted romance that would be amazing to see in the MCU. Ryan Reynolds made his first appearance as Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverinebut brought to life a modernized and more comic-accurate version of the Merc with a Mouth in Dead Poolits sequel and the MCU Deadpool and Wolverine. Although he has not yet joined Earth-616, Agatha all the time may have created the perfect reason for his official MCU debut.
Deadpool and Death’s relationship was established in 1998, when Deadpool fell in love with Lady Death after having a series of near-death experiences. During 2002 Funeral for a freak plot, Death begins to reciprocate these feelings. There’s no doubt that the chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Aubrey Plaza would be electric in the MCUso it would be fantastic to see Deadpool and Death form a bond. After Agatha Harkness’ death, Death may find connection elsewhere, and Wade Wilson permanently joining the MCU represents the perfect opportunity.

Blade
Blade, by Eric Brooks, debuted in the MCU in Eternals (2021)
Although Lady Death and Blade haven’t crossed paths in Marvel Comics, Death’s relationships with the supernatural in the MCU create the perfect bridge between Plaza’s character and Mahershala Ali’s upcoming Daywalker. Ali technically made his debut as Eric Brooks, aka Blade, in Eternals’ post credits scenealthough he is set to appear in the flesh in the Marvel Studios film Blade restart the movie. This project has had a tumultuous production period, with reports that the story has changed several times, but introducing Death into the mix could create a solution.
As a human/vampire hybrid, Blade ages much more slowly than the average human, which could perhaps cause problems for Death. Aubrey Plaza’s death has already established ties to the supernatural corners of the MCU, which Mahershala Ali’s Blade will headline. It would be fantastic to see Aubrey Plaza appear in Ali’s MCU solo film, and perhaps even among the rumored Midnight Sons team-up after its debut in Agatha all the time. Both Death and Blade are extremely powerful characters, so it would be great to see them team up.

Guardians of the Galaxy
The Guardians of the Galaxy debuted in the MCU in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Lady Death has crossed paths with a large number of cosmic heroes and villains in Marvel Comics, which could be the perfect opportunity for the Guardians of the Galaxy to return in the MCU’s future. Most notably, there has been speculation that Marvel Studios may deliver an adaptation of the Marvel Comics film. Annihilation MCU storyline, which saw Death appear before characters like Nova, Phyla-Vell and Quasar. The future of the Guardians of the Galaxy is unclear beyond 2023 Vol. 3so it would be wonderful to see them return in this expansive story.

The Death of Aubrey Plaza would play a key role in an adaptation of the Annihilation event, as this story sees the Annihilation Wave eradicate a large portion of the universe. The death of trillions would certainly constitute an appearance of the formidable entity. In a Marvel Comics storyline, Phyla-Vell, who was portrayed by Kai Zen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3he even became the avatar of an aspect of Death, Oblivion, which would be an interesting development in the MCU.

Peter Parker’s Spider-Man
Peter Parker’s Spider-Man debuted in the MCU in Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Lady Death has not met the Marvel Comics version of Peter Parker, but has embarked on an adventure with Ben Reilly’s Spider-Man clone during 2016. Dead No More: Conspiracy of the Clones plot. During this event, Lady Death takes the form of Marlo Chandler, who approaches Ben Reilly shortly after one of his resurrections during his time as the new version of the villainous Jackal.. Death takes a special interest in Reilly, as no other hero has been resurrected so often, and she informs him that it has corrupted his soul.
Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man 4 it recently received a release date of July 24, 2026.
This storyline could be changed to better suit Tom Holland’s storyline as Peter Parker in the MCU. Aubrey Plaza’s death may be the only being who remembers Peter Parker’s true identityhow everyone forgot about Parker thanks to Doctor Strange’s spell on Spider-Man: No Way Home. Death could join forces with Peter Parker in Spider-Man 4 embark on a new adventure, or perhaps facilitate his own death, leading to the MCU debut of Miles Morales or another version of Spider-Man, which is a tragic but exciting prospect.

Doctor Strange
Doctor Strange debuted in the MCU in Doctor Strange (2016)
Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is one of the MCU heroes who has toyed with the concept of death more than any other. Strange broke natural laws in Doctor Strangeentered into a dream on the corpse of his variant in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessand took advantage of the power of the Spirits of the Damned to use for his own benefit. Strange has little respect for the natural order, and this certainly attracted Death’s attention.especially if the rumors are correct that Strange recently caused an incursion event.
Earth-838’s Reed Richards explains that incursions have the capacity to destroy entire universes, so if Strange caused one, risking the lives of billions and billions of individuals, he would certainly be on Death’s radar. Doctor Strange’s most villainous variants will make him a person of interest in Aubrey Plaza’s deathwhich could lead her to show her face during Avengers: Judgment Day or not yet confirmed from Marvel Studios Doctor Strange 3. Cumberbatch and Plaza would have excellent on-screen chemistry, so this partnership would be brilliant.
5
Loki
Loki debuted in the MCU in Thor (2011)
Few MCU characters have died as many times as Loki. Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief faked his death several times, perhaps mocking Death himself, while he also died permanently in Avengers: Infinity War before a variant took its place in the MCU. This variant became the protector of the entire multiverse, transforming into a formidable cosmic entity, so it seems very likely that this new heroic Loki and Aubrey Plaza’s death could intersect in the future of the MCU.
Tom Hiddleston teased his return to the MCU after the dramatic and satisfying ending of Loki Season 2, and it would be great to see him team up with Aubrey Plaza as two powerful cosmic beings. This partnership could even represent the perfect opportunity for Marvel Studios to adapt the Death novels, such as Loki would certainly fall head over heels for the personification of Death. The MCU would benefit enormously from this powerful team, and the consequences and repercussions for the MCU could be monumental.

Thor
Thor debuted in the MCU in Thor (2011)
After the end of 2022 Thor: Love and Thunderwhich saw Jane Foster’s mighty Thor enter Valhalla after her death, it seems very possible that Chris Hemsworth’s Thor will make an attempt to find her. This could send him into the arms of Aubrey Plaza’s Death, which could facilitate his arrival in Valhalla to find his lost love and perhaps other Asgardian warriors. It is likely, though not confirmed, that Thor has prior knowledge of Death, especially since his life has been plagued by death for thousands of years..
Following recent developments in Chris Hemsworth’s personal life, there has been speculation that the unannounced Marvel reveal Thor 5 or the upcoming Phase 6 Avengers films could mark the end of the line for the actor in the MCU. If Thor dies in an upcoming project, Death could return to the MCU to claim him, whether to take him to Valhalla or some other semblance of an afterlife. As one of the MCU’s most established characters, meeting Thor could give Death some gravitas and deeper meaning.

Scarlet Witch
Wanda Maximoff’s Scarlet Witch debuted in the MCU in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
When introducing Death to the MCU, Agatha all the time may have created the perfect opportunity for the return of Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. There have been many hopes for Wanda Maximoff’s return since the former Avenger sacrificed herself in late 2022. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessand although some theorized that this would occur in Agatha all the timethat didn’t happen. Scarlet Witch’s return was teased, however, when Joe Locke’s Billy Maximoff came back to life and found a new body for his brother, Tommy..

It’s Billy and Tommy Maximoff, in their reincarnated forms, alongside the Young Avengers from Marvel Comics who track down the missing Scarlet Witch. This storyline could play out in the MCU, with Billy and Tommy meeting with Death Aubrey Plaza to urge her to bring Wanda Maximoff back to life after their own reunion. Death may be reluctant to bring Scarlet Witch back to life, but this can be instrumental in the battle and defeat of many villains.including Doctor Doom and perhaps the teased demon Mephisto, in the future of the MCU.
2
Eternity
Eternity debuted in the MCU in Thor: Love & Thunder (2022)
Few cosmic entities in the MCU have actually made physical appearances, but one of the most recent to appear is Eternity. 2022 Thor: Love and Thunder mountain range Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher travels to Eternity in hopes of eradicating the MCU’s godsbut instead chose to ask for his daughter’s resurrection. Since Eternity is said to grant a wish to the first person who encounters it, it seems like the entity’s purpose in the MCU may already be over, but Eternity is just one of many formidable cosmic beings, just like Death.
In Marvel Comics, Lady Death is the antithesis of Eternity, with Death representing the end of life in the universe, while Eternity is the personification of the universe itself. Eternity has a lot more influence and power in Marvel Comics, so it would be great to see some of that adapted into the MCU’s visually stunning version of Eternity.and the entity’s partnership with Death could reveal more about its true nature. This would also help better establish Death as the personification of an abstract concept, rather than a more human villain.
1
Thanos
Thanos debuted in the MCU in The Avengers (2012)
Perhaps the most notable Marvel character associated with Lady Death in Marvel Comics is the Mad Titan, Thanos, who has formed an intense obsession with Lady Death since she approached him as a child on Titan. Lady Death first pressured Thanos to embrace his more psychopathic and murderous traits, which began his path to becoming the most feared warlord in the universe. This culminated in Thanos collecting the six Infinity Stones and destroying half of all life in an effort to attract his love interest.but that storyline was completely changed for the MCU Avengers: Infinity War.
Josh Brolin’s Thanos sought to bring balance to the universe and solve overpopulation issues, although The Avengers post-credits scene provoked his desire to “death cut”. Aubrey Plaza’s debut as Death in Agatha all the time means Thanos could return to establish his love for the entity. Brolin has teased Thanos’ return in the MCU’s near future, and it would be brilliant to see him form at least a brief romance with Death, even if those feelings aren’t reciprocated by Aubrey Plaza’s very human but otherworldly entity.
