10 Iconic Weapons Missing from Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2

In the grim darkness of the distant future, players will need to use every deadly weapon at their disposal to survive. Warhammer 40,000: Marine 2, but some of the franchise’s most iconic options are notably absent. While some weapons will likely be tied to future class releases, like the Librarian’s force weapons, there’s still a wide arsenal to choose from in future DLCs. From new weapon archetypes to unique variations of existing weapons, players have a lot to look forward to in future content updates.

With Space Marine 2 With the game’s recent content update adding its first new weapon, the Volkite Pistol, many fans have already begun speculating about what weapons will come next. The 40k universe is full of exciting and unique weapons of all typesbut the set of relevant options is somewhat limited by Space Marine tradition. Despite these limitations, there are still a plethora of exciting weapons that have a good chance of making it into the next DLC for Space Marine 2.

10

The Armor Penetrating Lascannon

A powerful option for taking down larger enemies

Lascannons are one of the most powerful single-shot weapons a Space Marine can use, being an incredible anti-tank weapon that can penetrate virtually any material. Used stationary by the Imperial Guard or transported by a massive Space Marine, Lascannons are an incredibly deadly force on the battlefield when used with the appropriate support.. In addition to their heavy size, Lascannons also require significant power to carry, and as a result, they need to be recharged after each devastating explosion.

With how heavy and powerful these weapons are, it is unlikely that they will be handed over to any of the Space Marine 2primary weapon classesbut they could still have appeared as a temporary withdrawal during the campaign. Lascannon could also be implemented as a charged ability for a future class, allowing players to unleash an incredibly devastating blast, with a long cooldown between shots. While it may be difficult to balance, there are many ways this iconic weapon could be included in the future. Space Marine 2 DLC, even for single use during an operation.

The Astartes Close Quarters Assault Rifle

Sometimes the simplest option is the most effective

While shotguns are not the most common or effective weapon in a Space Marine’s arsenal, they would be a great addition to Space Marine 2. Melta and Multi-Melta fill a similar niche for close-range, high-spread damage, but still leave a lot to be desired. With the Melta’s limited ammo count and overall volume, the Astartes assault rifle would provide a unique alternative thanks to its fast speed and rate of fire.

The Assault Shotgun usable by the Astartes comes in two variations, with a semi-automatic and fully automatic version respectively. One way to make this already fun weapon even more versatile is to allow players to switch between single shot or bursts of automatic fire. With the Heavy class Heavy Bolter already having a similar feature, players could potentially switch the Astartes assault rifle’s firing mode by aiming down the scope.

8

Incredibly versatile combo weapons

More freedom during combat encounters

Given their incredible versatility, it makes sense that Combi-Weapons might be absent from the launch of Space Marine 2 to encourage more frequent team play dynamics in the game’s challenging PvE operations. Despite this, the unique gaming function of a multi-tool like Combi-Weapons is too exciting a prospect to pass up. Combined weapons combine multiple functions of different weapon types into a single weapon chassisallowing them to unleash even more firepower or attach unique weapons underneath.

For applications in Space Marine 2, these are unlikely to be added as a simple bolter extension, but There’s a lot of potential to equip Melta, Plasma, or even additional flamethrower compatibility to existing Bolters. Those familiar with the grenade launcher-equipped Bolter will already be accustomed to the combined arms concept, allowing players to switch between roles simply by zooming in on their aim. Despite their versatility, the limited ammunition capacity of magazine weapons means they would not surpass the value of specialized weapons like the Melta or Plasma Incinerator.

7

Devastating Storms

For players who want to get closer to the action

The Storm Bolter is another highly requested weapon from war hammer 40k fans, with twice the firing power of a standard bolter. Thanks to the double barrel design and much larger magazine capacity, Storm Bolters are capable of launching a rapid and consistent barrage of projectiles at enemies. How Storm Bolters were present at the end of the original game Space Marinemany fans were shocked that he didn’t return in the sequel, and for good reason.

Although it was introduced alongside stronger enemies that took longer to kill, the Storm Bolter was still an incredibly satisfying weapon to use in the first Space Marine game and would be especially effective against sending hordes of Tyranids. If the developers wanted to take the Storm Bolter to the next level, they could also add the incredibly powerful Auto Boltstorm Gauntlets to the Heavy Class. Combining a Power-Fist and a Storm Bolter into one, this variation would add an incredible amount of short-range utility to the long-range Heavy class.

6

The Electrifying Ax

One of the most requested melee weapons

Different Marine 2 The ever-popular Power Sword, the Power Ax is an even more deadly weapon on the battlefield, at the cost of being much less mobile. Most often used by Vanguard or Assault class Space Marines, This powerful weapon delivers impactful attacks that bridge the gap between the nimble speed of the Power Sword and the pure destructive power of the Thunder Hammer. Using the same energizing effect as the other powered melee weapons, the Power Ax can easily cut through any enemy, no matter how armored.

The Power Ax would fill a unique role in Space Marine 2. It’s great for dispatching single targets or small groups of enemiesstunning them mid-combo with his tremendous attacking ability. Due to Power Axes’ slow speed and cumbersome size, they are often combined with shields on the battlefield, making them a fantastic tool for Bulwark-class Space Marines waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

5

Hacking and chopping with the ax

Giving in to Khorne’s temptations

Given its association with the forces of Chaos, it’s not surprising that the iconic Chainaxe isn’t used by Titus and his Ultramarines, but that doesn’t mean it still can’t be added. Thanks to Space Marine 2For the success of Khorne-Worshiping Chaos Marines, there is the possibility of new factions in future updates, and they would be the main users of this deadly weapon.

With Space Marine 2Eternal War mode pits Chaos and Ultramarines against each other, the Chainaxe would be the perfect weapon to add more unique personalities to each sidemaking the servants of Chaos feel like more than just reworked versions of existing classes.

Similar to the Power Axe, the Chainaxe would provide a more substantial version of its thin-bladed counterpart, focusing on slow but heavier cuts that could stun enemies or even knock them down. while slowly cutting them into pieces. In addition to the potential for new moves and varied combat with this gas-powered two-handed weapon, the Chainaxe’s finishers and parry attacks would be incredibly visceral and satisfying to use against both Tyranid and Chaos forces.

4

Burning hordes with the Heavy Flamer

Allowing players to experience Salamander’s playstyle

With its double-barreled exhaust and large carry size, The Heavy Flamer is capable of releasing walls of flame that turn anything caught in its wake to ash, making it especially effective against organic materials such as Tyranids.. Many fans were disappointed to learn this Space Marine 2The flame-belching Pyreblaster was just a temporary pickup rather than an equippable weapon. While it functioned similarly to the existing Pyreblaster found in the respectably long campaign mode, the inclusion of the Heavy Flamer would give it the chance to be used as a permanent weapon in the Heavy class’ arsenal.

Given its similarities to the relationship between the temporary Multi-Melta and the unlockable Melta for the heavy class, the Heavy Flamer may have to be nerfed before it can be fully implemented. Even if players fail to unleash the flame-explosive weapon’s true potential, it would still be incredibly satisfying to use it in both PvE to dispatch hordes of enemies. Not only would it be fantastic in Operation matches, but the Heavy Flamer would also provide an entirely unique weapon experience in Eternal War modeoffering more variety to the standard suite of bolt-action and plasma weapons.

3

Decimating obstacles with gravitational weaponry

Using the forces of nature against enemies

Grav Guns are one of the most unique weapons in a Space Marine’s arsenal, using a beam of gravitational particles to crush any target with overwhelming gravitational pressure. These weapons can not only be used with painful effect, but the heavy sound and shockwaves emitted from the Grav Armament’s explosions would also be incredibly satisfying to watch thanks to Space Marine 2incredible level of detail. Given the traditional use of gravitational weapons in demolition, they could easily go down in history. Space Marine 2 as equipment taken from the battlefield, being a remnant of the Adeptus Mechanicus’ mining operations.

One of the best aspects of Grav Armament is its untapped potential for weapon classes. Space Marine 2ranging between the standard Grav-Gun, the lightweight Grav-Pistol, and the heavy-duty Grav-Cannon, respectively. The Grav-Weaponry’s unique green hue also helps them stand out from the blue plasma weapons already present in the base game.delivering a deadly punch to both Chaos Marines and armored Tyranids. While Grav-Weapons are an interesting addition to any class, the Grav-Cannon would be most useful for the heavy class as an extremely powerful ranged semi-automatic weapon, giving players more versatility in creating competitive heavy class builds.

2

Short-range Inferno pistols

A rare weapon to cut through any armor

The Inferno pistol is an incredibly effective secondary weapon, being a one-handed version of the Melta shotgun already present in Space Marine 2. Despite its compact size, the pure power of the Inferno pistol can stop a Chaos Terminator Marine in his tracks or even burn the armor of any Tyranid. While it seems like an incredible weapon for any Space Marine lucky enough to acquire one, they still have their drawbacks with low ammo count and poor accuracy.

Unfortunately for players, this incredibly deadly weapon is extremely limited in the world of war hammer 40k, offered only to elite members of certain Space Marine chaptersmost notably the Blood Angels. While not the most likely, there is still hope that its addition to the game will be granted as a reward to the brave Ultramarines who have taken down countless threats throughout the game’s history.

1

The Eviscerating Claws of Lightning

Intimidating enemies with these powerful gauntlets

Of all the weapons in War Hammer 40,000the Lightning Claws stood out as perhaps the most jarring melee absence in the release of Space Marine 2. The Lightning Claws are an electrically powered gauntlet with 3-5 sharp blades protruding from the end.each of the sharp blades being carried like a mighty sword to cut through the enemy’s bones and armor. Being incredibly unique in their design, the lightning claws can be used two-handed or one-handed, allowing Space Marines to destroy their enemies with a barrage of blows.

Compared to other melee weapons available, the quick-attack lightning claws would provide even more melee variety for Space Marine 2. Most commonly used by assault marines or heavy terminators, adamantium-bladed claws would be incredibly fun to use on Space Marine 2, and seem like a particularly likely addition to future DLC.
