Although the entertainment industry has created many prequels and spin-offs exploring individual characters over the past decade, Some iconic movie and television characters still don't have a backstory. At first glance, a famous character's past might seem like something fans would want to see. However, many movie characters who didn't need an origin story but were given one in the form of a prequel demonstrate the pitfalls of this approach.
Trails including "The main character without a past." "Origin stories are prohibited" And "The Noodle Incident" are an example of how a certain amount of mystery in a character's past can be highly satisfying, an effect that is spoiled by the origin story. More objectionable upcoming sequels and spin-offs may overextend some character arcs, while those from the classic films that can't actually be remade or continued are supposedly safe. Several iconic characters are compelling mysteries and should always remain that way.
