However, after Gibbs chases down the thieves who took Ruth's vacuum cleaner, the friends sit in the back of Marine's truck and drink a six-pack of beer. With gentle probing, Gibbs tells Ruth that she feels sad when Linda Ronstadt's “Blue Bayou” plays on the record player, and she reveals that the song reminds her of her estranged son in New Orleans.
