Reduce your electricity bill
Let the sunlight do the work
Next to the door of your store there is a light switchwhich is surprisingly easy to miss. I managed to make it a full week after opening my store before I realized I could have turned on the lights! However, turning on the lights increases your electricity billso make sure you activate them only after 4pm to 5pm or so.
Keep in mind that although the clock stops at 9pm, the timer keeps runningtherefore, any nighttime tasks that require light will still count toward your electric bill. Instead of staying late to open packages, start the next day and do any maintenance, ordering, and organization of the store in the light of the rising sun.

Spraying stinky customers
Put the cleaner into use as soon as possible
If you’re like me, you’ve probably unlocked the Cleaner product and immediately stocked it from box to shelf. Due to its high cost and low value per delivery, I rarely had leftovers to store. You will also see that there is Automotive perfume machinesMany players start saving up to buy one to deodorize those smelly, review-locking customers.
However, you can actually get a cleaner from the shelf or box and spray smelly customers directly. With keyboard and mouse, Press R to open Cleanser and left click to spray. I didn’t know this for hours, and my negative reviews plummeted until I was able to buy an Auto Scent machine. Don’t be like me, just spray the stink!

Advanced Stink Removal
Cornering customers for convenience
After purchasing a automatic perfume machineyou’ll probably place one near your door to catch smelly customers before they get to the store. However, despite your best efforts, machines can sometimes lose customers if they take the right angle when passing through the door. Thanks to a tip from 2 cents more In the video above there is a pretty foolproof plan to fix this.
To lessen the chances of a stinker escaping, you can guide customers through a hallway-like entrance using shelves and furniture to create a narrow passage. At the end of the walkway, place at least two Auto Scent machines on each side to spray customers as they pass. While there may still be one or two that slip through the cracks during a perfect storm of customers, you’ll probably rarely have to manually intervene to clear out the clientele.

Buying in bulk doesn’t save money
Stick to smaller orders until the money is flowing
Despite what common sense would say, purchasing a license to order larger quantities of products does not reduce the individual cost of these items. A box of eight cleaning products costs same cost per item like the box with sixteen cleaning products, for example.
While it may seem more convenient to order and store more, you’ll actually want to save your money for larger purchases or new items first. Once you have a larger fund and can pay employees to help you replenish, it’s more worthwhile to purchase the licenses in bulk.
6
You have to pay more when hiring employees
Don’t shoot unless you’re sinking
Hiring your first employee is unlocked after reaching level 10 and seems like a great investment. I saved up to hire Zackery because the processing fee was $500, which wasn’t exactly cheap! However, I was personally dissatisfied with their speed of work and checking customers was excruciatingly slow. Unfortunately, I made the wrong decision to fire him as I was simply outpacing him in refueling and working the cash register.
What I didn’t think about, though, was that the processing fee alone was more than a week of paychecks for him. I could have easily kept Zack with very little money lost and eventually he would have been worth the investment. Instead I lost half a thousand and now I have to pay again to get the slow one back. Don’t fire an employee unless you go bankrupt, which is almost impossible to do because of a small charge of $50 a day.

Storing boxes grouped together on the bench
Not just for packaging
THE Workbench It’s one of the game’s most underutilized features. I myself ignored this for a long time due to the initial cost of the bench, a whopping $1,000! However, you can not only use the desktop to repack cards in packs to resell your cards cheap, but you can also store packed boxes directly on the countertop.
You can easily place up to 21 boxes of cards grouped together on the countertop, preventing you from taking up precious space on storage shelves. Whenever your shelves are empty, all you have to do is go over there and replenish from the bank itself. However, it doesn’t appear that replenishment employees are able to access the Workbench crates, so you’ll have to restock these products yourself.
4
Expand only when you need space
Keep enough space for activities
While it may be tempting to start shopping expansions to the area occupied by your storeit is advisable to wait until you actually I need the space. Although expansions are not very expensive, each increase in store size increases your daily rent.
Frankly, your initial store may contain a lot more furniture than you realize, and with careful placement, You’re not likely to run out of space anytime soon. However, if you want to prioritize game tables for customers to play, you’ll probably need to expand sooner.
3
Card displays are not worth it
Save your money until you’re ready to show off
Once you start opening packages, you will start to grow your card collection and potentially get very expensive cards. While some players may want to keep them, many will prefer to sell these cards and expand your store. This can be done by purchasing a Card tablewhere you can store individual cards and list them for sale.
I also saw the card display and mistakenly assumed it was a more attractive, upright version of the card table. With very little money, I went ahead and bought one with the intention of putting more cards up for sale. However, Card displays are just that: displays. You can place your personal card collection on these pieces of furniture, but you can’t sell their cards.
While you can sell furniture backyou can only half of the amount refunded. From the beginning, be very careful about what you buy!
While this isn’t a big deal later on and many players want to actively show off their prized cards, I had no money left and I immediately regretted my decision. Be sure to wait until you have cards worth displaying before purchasing this item.
2
Open card packs
Open, sell, repeat
Despite it being in the name, it’s surprisingly easy to forget that this game is actually a Collectible Card Game Simulatorincluding opening packages, finding foil cards and selling singles to customers. While consistent stock on your shelves is always the main money maker, Don’t forget to open the packages to actually find the expensive cards.
Using Workbench, you can repackage any base cards back in the boxes to sell again, so you don’t have to worry about your binder getting flooded with too many cheap cards. If you’re lucky, you might even find cards valued at over $10,000, so keep looking!

Just have fun
Take your time and enjoy the game
While this may sound cliché, it’s surprisingly easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of searching for the next most expensive card. While opening packs and growing your collection is fun, don’t spend all day opening packets of letters. Take time to rearrange your furniture, organize your inventory, and complete customer purchases.
If you’re feeling burnt out, try reorganizing your store or focusing on another mechanic you don’t normally use, like card tournaments. You may also consider trying out some new mods to mix things up!
If you only focus on automating your store, you are missing the journey. While hunting for rarer foils and first editions is still fun and exciting, it is very easy to burn and finding the game stressful due to the rush. Take your time and enjoy it all TCG Card Store Simulator has to offer!
