Christmas 1914

2013 Special - "Born Again Virgin Christmas Special"

Santa Claus talking to a group of soldiers in the 1914 Robot Chicken Christmas sketch.

The “Christmas 1914” sketch from the “Born Again Virgin Christmas Special” features Santa Claus visiting a group of World War II soldiers during a real-life historical event in which the two opposing sides create a temporary truce in the name of Christmas. Of course, this sketch ends up being a stupidly ridiculous version of the wholesome wartime story. When an American soldier wants Santa Claus to break through his rivals' front lines and end the war, he gets more than he bargained for.

The Christmas spirit of both armies is ruined when Santa Claus arrives and opens fire on everyone. Although he is unprejudiced, Santa's murderous rampage is far from Christmassy. However, it is quite comical to see the mystical figure use his bag of gifts as a bomb and throw it across the camp. One of the most prolific voice actors in animation Family GuySeth MacFarlane portrays Santa Claus in this sketch, which makes his screams even funnier. Although it's just a brief skit, "Christmas 1914" is still enjoyable, if unnecessarily violent.

Turning on the Christmas lights

Season 3, Episode 14 - "Robot Chicken's Half-Dumb Christmas Special"

A family looking at their house decorated in the Robot Chicken Lighting up the Christmas Lights design.

The “Lighting Up the Christmas Lights” sketch from season 3’s “Robot Chicken Half-Assed Christmas Special” teaches audiences that the pleasure of decorating one’s home for the holiday season can be a dangerous undertaking. As a young family happily watches the colorfully lit exterior of their home, a look of horror quickly spreads across their faces when their house catches fire and, in turn, so does their neighbors' house. Unfortunately, this includes a man in a wheelchair, who manages to yell at the family's son while he is still awake.

The mother is absent from this part of the play, implying that she died in the first fire, which makes a lit menorah causing a second fire even funnier.

Hilariously, this ends up being a flashback of sorts, as the father of the family tells his son that it was because of the fire that he converted to Judaism. The mother is absent from this part of the play, implying that she died in the first fire, which makes a lit menorah causing a second fire even funnier. Although “Lighting Up the Christmas Lights” is a comedic piece, it is also quite short, and there is room for more humor.

Santa's Moral Gray Zone

Season 7, Episode 20 - 'Lots of Special Holidays'

Santa Claus and two elves working on a list in the special Robot Chicken Lots Of Holidays.

In the "Lots Of Holidays Special" sketch, "Santa's Moral Gray Zone", the titular character reflects on how difficult it is to label a child as naughty or nice at Christmas time. Although this sketch is full of humor, it also highlights a harsh reality of life, and certain children's behavior can sometimes be attributed to all sorts of issues. The brilliant parody song “Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town” that plays throughout the play is funny at first, but as images of abandoned and neglected children emerge, it is not so comical.

Even with the help of his reindeer and elves, Santa still struggles to decide who is considered good enough to receive gifts. The talking reindeer are a comical addition to the cartoon, although the advice they give Santa only enrages him further. as he grapples with his Christmas decisions. The end of this segment is relatively depressing, however, as Santa Claus stumbles through the snow with a lot on his mind, as he realizes that his usually cheerful job isn't as simple as it seems. Although this is a decent value Robot Chicken sketch, it wouldn't make a great Santa Claus movie.

7

Christmas in Asgard

Season 4, episode 20 - “Dear Consumer”

Thor and Santa Claus fighting in the Robot Chicken sketch Christmas in Asgard.

There's a fantastic parody of the mythology in the Season 4 episode "Dear Consumer," in which Loki becomes jealous of his father's favoritism toward his brother, Thor. Thor and Loki's Broken Relationship is common knowledge to many, whether through his Marvel characterizations or simply because of a love of Norse mythology. It's hilarious to see Loki cause all kinds of destruction while using Thor's name.

This wild plan works incredibly, which leaves Thor facing off against Santa Claus in an action-packed TV fight sequence that is hysterical to watch. The portrayal of Thor as the supreme hero and Loki as the main agent of chaos is brilliant, although Robot Chicken viewers need prior context about their dynamic to fully appreciate this sketch.

6

Santa Claus and Coca-Cola

Season 5, Episode 1 - "Robot Chicken DP Christmas Special"

Santa Claus shouting in the face of a Coca-Cola employee in the Santa And Coke Robot Chicken cartoon.

“Santa Claus and Coca-Cola” from Season 5’s “Robot Chicken’s DP Christmas Special” is another sketch that makes fun of the capitalist side of the holiday season. When Santa Claus arrives at Coca-Cola headquarters, he quickly expresses his opinion about the beverage company using his identity to sell its products. Coca-Cola uses the famous image of Santa Claus in its advertising, and has done so for decades, so it's brilliant to see the man himself confront the corporation over it.

However, this version of Santa Claus is very angry with Coca-Cola, which sends him into a violent fit. It's crazy to see a muscular Santa Claus wildly swinging a baseball bat, and his attack on Coca-Cola employees is ridiculous. This sketch is a great example of why Robot ChickenThe use of claymation is also very good. The only negative thing about this play, unfortunately, is that Seth MacFarlane's narration is very similar to American fatherStan Smith, so it's hard to see Santa as anyone other than him.

5

Elf Training Video

2013 Special - "Born Again Virgin Christmas Special"

Four elves look horrified as they watch something in Robot Chicken's elf training video sketch.

One of the best skits in the “Born Again Virgin Christmas Special” is “Elf Training Video.” As the title describes, Santa's elves are forced to watch a training video about the obstacles they will face in their new roles at the North Pole. However, the reality of their work environment is much more dangerous than expected and would likely horrify any naive child watching. Robot ChickenNoel's take on Santa's workshop is hilarious. Gift materials are mined by a race of lizardmen, who also eat elves if they get too close, for example.

Santa's reindeer are also quite aggressive, and the elves learn that basically wherever they go they run the risk of being eaten. Even Santa Claus himself appears and brutally destroys the elves' table. What makes this sketch even funnier is the “in memory” section at the end of the video, which lists all the elves who don't live to tell their tale. “Elf Training Video” offers a comical perspective on starting a new job, especially in a capitalist environment, which is a funny but surprising narrative for viewers at Christmas time.

4

Batman smells

Season 5, Episode 1 - "Robot Chicken DP Christmas Special"

Batman and Robin threatening three children in the Batman Smells Robot Chicken cartoon.

Another fantastic sketch from “Robot Chicken’s DP Christmas Special” is “Batman Smells.” As the children's parody of “Jingle Bells” states, Batman apparently smells bad, which makes him offended when a group of children start singing it in the streets. To these children's surprise, Batman and Robin arrive to confront them over their comments. It's disconcerting to see Batman rub a child's face in his armpit, and it's even more savage when Robin outsmarts him and shoves his ass in another's face.

While this might scare some kids watching, it's hilarious that the events of the sketch are actually a story a teacher is telling his students to get them to behave.

While it would make sense for Santa Claus to be Robin's new Christmas partner, or vice versa, he doesn't appear. Instead, the two iconic superheroes take revenge on the young people by attacking them in the street. Batman and Robin even run over children with the Batmobile and throwing bat-shaped ninja stars at them as they try to escape. While this might scare some kids watching, it's hilarious that the events of the sketch are actually a story a teacher is telling his students to get them to behave.

3

Unhappy Christmas

Jesus and Santa Claus talking in the sky in the Unhappy Christmas Robot Chicken cartoon.

"Freshly Baked: The Robot Chicken Santa Claus Pot Cookie Freakout Special: Special Edition" is a wild episode of Robot Chicken from beginning to end, but One of the strangest moments is when Santa passes out and overdoses on a handful of mentos and two liters of soda. When Santa gets straight, he meets up with Jesus, but he hilariously mistakes him for Jared Leto as the Joker and praises his performance in Suicide Squad. However, this isn't the only funny moment in the sketch.

Santa's speech about Christmas being capitalist is brilliant, but Jesus' dancing and rapping are even better. Although not as blasphemous as some South Parkforbidden episodes, his version of Jesus seems similar to Robot Chickenrepresentation of the religious figure. It's fantastically funny when Santa joins in on Jesus' performance, especially at the end when Santa wishes Jesus a happy birthday, only to receive a "Happy Holidays” in return.

2

The Flintstones' Christmas Confusion

Season 11, episode 13 - "It may cause indecision...or not"

Fred Flintstone with a child on his lap in the Robot Chicken cartoon A Flintstones Christmas.

There is an incredible Robot Chicken parody of The Flintstones in the season 11 episode "May Cause Indecision...Or Not". The sketch mocks The Flintstones Christmas special, in which Fred replaces Santa Claus that day. However, “Flintstones Christmas Confusion” points out the lack of logic in celebrating the festive season hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus, although Fred doesn't appreciate it at all.

Even though a lot of things make little sense in this sketch, it still works. The father who takes his son to see Fred gets to see Gazoo because he is actually Lucifer, and a comical title card appears instead of showing the implied fight between them. There's also a random advertisement for cigarettes and bourbon at the end of the skit, which is hilarious, but also has no connection to the skit. Although this is smart Robot Chicken parodies one of the best episodes of The Flintstonesviewers are clueless if they are not familiar with the caveman series.

A very Dragon Ball Z Christmas

2005 Special - "Robot Chicken Christmas Special"

Goku looking at a Santa Claus-Snowman hybrid in the Robot Chicken Anime Christmas sketch.

There are several amazing Christmas sketches in Robot Chickenbut the best is easily “A Very Dragon Ball Z Christmas” from the 2005 episode “Robot Chicken Christmas Special.” The sketch, which is also repeated in the Season 2 episode “Easter Basket,” sees Dragon Ball ZIt's Goku and Gohan during Christmas. From the beginning of the skit, there is a lot to laugh about. Santa Claus falling down the chimney and repeatedly swearing about his injury is a hysterical moment, as is the loss of his reindeer, presents, and pants.

Meanwhile, the reindeer face several Christmas-themed figures that share many qualities with the Dragon ball the strongest villains in the franchise. “A Very Dragon Ball Z Christmas” encapsulates several anime tropes, including a fast-paced fight scene and the reveal of an unexpected antagonist. Even those who don't know anime can understand the drama of the situation, regardless of whether it's a Robot Chicken parody. “A Very Dragon Ball Z Christmas” is featured Robot Chicken Christmas Sketch, especially since Composite Santa and Little Drummer Boy later become recurring characters.
